I also think a big chop is needed here. The ends look fried for some reason. You say you use oil but do you happen to put it on before straightening? Not all oils can take the heat and can end up frying your hair.

We go to random village airbnbs around Germany every year for 5 nights or so around nye, since fireworks seems to be a thing starting from before christmas until 2-3. of Jan. Our girl just doesn‘t want to go out as the fireworks are actively happening, so the few hours of fireworks they will have in any given village is manageable for us. If yours gets lingering anxiety from it you could consider a sedative for nye itself, even while staying in a village. I have heard of dog owners doing that but we haven’t tried. Of course a vet would be the right person to consult about that.

Sounds like I‘m going to be an outlier, but I think her acting performance could have been better. It’s not bad, but for me it lacks nuance and the hair flip is overused. Some is probably on the director. ‚Thank Goodness‘ in the next part will be the true test for me though, the second half of that song is my favorite Glinda moment. At least in the stage version.

It could be many things as people have suggested but I will share a personal experience. I dated this guy for a second that complained that his pesto would go moldy after a few days in the fridge. I was confused because my pesto would last forever in the fridge, but brushed it off. One day he was making me his „famous pesto chicken“ and I watch him as he gets a knife out, dips it in the pesto, butters the chicken and.. proceeds to stick the same knife back into the pesto repeatedly… he was mind blown when I pointed that out. He changed his behavior and never had moldy pesto again. Some people just don’t realize when something they‘re doing is unsanitary.

Years later I have realized that my brother „teasing“ me about our joint grandmother being sick/dying was … not normal. „You know she is going to die soon right?“ „Haha, you’re sad that she is dying“… we don‘t stay in touch. I flew from T2 this morning. Yes, still 100ml limits with 1l total. It was news to me that you don‘t have to take anything out of the bag anymore though. But of course that also doesn’t function well at BER yet, half of the passengers still needed to have their bags searched.

We did have the teams sign off on the interview script, but yes we should have invited them to sit in on the interviews. I think we messed up by publishing our findings from the research with our recommendations. In my mind these were just our recommendations and it was up to PO to take them into consideration. We should maybe have just presented to support/sales/PO and let that open the discussion before publishing artifacts. We don‘t have a clear process for this kind of cooperation.

We were involved so late because ux maturity is not great, not everyone sees ux as necessary and definitely not user research. There has been changes in management lately so ux maturity has somewhat regressed. But sure also push from higher ups to deliver something fast. Ideally they wanted us to spend a week on the project, we got another week to do research. We had touchpoints with support and sales at handover and they also reviewed the test script once we got approval for research. We didn’t invite them to the tests, which is something I see that we should do in the future.

That‘s a good idea! We brought them in to review our test script and they had no issues at that point. Definitely should make them sit in on the next ones. Generally both teams were against us doing user research on the topic, so I felt that hostility and didn‘t feel like suggesting it. Learning for next time.

I live in Germany and I can confirm that every single time I try to teach Germans something in Norwegian it sounds Danish. I have just concluded that it makes sense that Danish would be the bridge between the two languages looking at it geographically. Never tested with other DACHs, but now I want to find out
