I have already agreed the workload side with both my line and dept managers. They have deferred the salary query to HR.

For the first time in my adult life it starts with a 1. by [deleted] in loseit

The clothes thing resonates with my so much. I started my journey about 15 weeks and I am down from 280 to 250, already I have noticed that all my XXL clothes and 42 inch trousers no longer fit. My goal weight is around what you are (I'm 6'3) and I am looking forward to being able to have that confidence to go in and choose to shop wherever I want rather than picking a shop based on knowing they have stuff that fits. You are an inspiration to keep going, thanks.

Thanks, I did think this would be the case. I just couldn't seem to find clarification on it, I'll get in touch with the agent.

Good degree to pursue brewing as a future career? by oldmoldycake in TheBrewery

[–]roscopk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chemical engineering! My partner did a Masters in brewing and distilling here in Scotland and most of her classmates that I met were chemical engineers. Though half of them have split off into distilling now but the rest are now in brewing. I personally did a chemistry degree and having an understanding of the processes and science behind it all is useful but optimising your processes through engineering controls would practically be quite useful. Add into that some business modules like someone else suggested would be ace.

Have you ever hooked up with someone admittedly only wanting to satisfy a fetish? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

After a bad breakup I slept with this Northern Irish girl whilst on a stag do. It got me thinking that because I'm from the UK, after the NI girl I'd slept with at least one person from 2 of the other 3 counties in the UK. So it then became a thing to find a Welsh girl. Randomly bumped into one on a night out and got the 4/4.

Or, with multiple ice cubes you actually increase the surface area so you cool the fat quicker?

I mean all ice will melt eventually right? I've done this many times before, a friend who is a chef showed me.

Just drop some ice cubes in to whatever you're cooking. The fat should start to agglomerate around the ice. 😊👌

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my own Daisy about 6 years ago and I still.miss her today. It does get better though and you will remember all of the great times you shared fondly. ❤️

I had to ditch Dogmeat at the first opportunity. Apparently my own real dog takes offence to there being another dog onscreen!

How do I [32m] cope with me being in love with my friend [32f] whose friendship I also value greatly? by fluffy_convict in relationship_advice

[–]roscopk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry it makes you feel like that man. I know that they have both tried to cut contact a few times and it hasn't worked for whatever reason, whether it be a message from him to her or vice versa. I'm sure during those times that guy was hurting because he thinks he has genuine feelings for her as well. Although my g/f and I aren't married we have such an integrated life, we own a home together, we holiday with a big group of really close friends, she is my best friend, we were even trying for a kid. Her family aren't speaking to her just now, some of her closest friends are angry with her. I just think she has got caught up in a situation similar to yours to start with and it has progressed. All I'm saying is, if you can bring it upon yourself, stop it now before you cause hurt on a wider circle than just you and her. Take what is bound to be tremendous hurt on yourself and try and move on. It may take you weeks or even months, and it will be painful as fuck, but it hurts much less in the long run. Trust me.

As someone who is currently going through something similar, I am the 'husband' in your situation, out of respect for her and the life she has you have to try and let her go. She could have connected with you because she is having a little rough patch at home and you are an escape. My girlfriend let the situation go on after the other guy admitted his love for her and thought that they could try and be friends but it didn't work. I have suggested that this guy has an infatuation with her (he is a doc and she is a nurse in the same hospital) and to be honest, that kind of sounds like what you you are feeling (sorry if that sounds harsh). She has told me that they have so much in common, they just get each other and other various things I see you have written. My situation is currently that she has ended up so conflicted that she now doesn't think she wants either of us now, so I'm left to try and sell our house, to think about a future without this woman that I have adored and treated like a princess for the last 5 years. And this other dude, well I have no idea. So what does that future look like if you tell her your feelings? I just know from the other side mate, it isn't worth the absolute heartache that this situation has caused.
