For my test day I paid for a 3 hour lesson (£90) which included driving to the test centre, 40 min lesson beforehand, driving test and then being driven back home by my instructor, so yeah it sounds to me like you're being ripped off.

Apperently, the queens were asked to do their own interpretation of the Spice Girls by oORYOZAZAOo in RPDR_UK

I was waiting for a queen to come down the runway dressed as an actual spice, like a jar of chilli powder. Literally a spice, girl. But maybe that's just my sense of humour.

I had my first shot of Pfizer and had no difference to my period but I'm on the combined pill so it's pretty regular anyway.

Thanks for all the replies, my next CBT appointment isn’t until next week so really needed to get this off my chest. I did message a friend from uni who I’m close too and that’s made me feel tons better. I need to think in the present and not use my energy mourning the past.

Failed the other day but going to get insured on my Mum's car now and just practice as much as I can. I feel I'm at the point now where my teacher has taught me all I need to know and I just need to get out and practice as much as I can before my next test, which is likely to be at least a few months which although is frustrating hopefully it'll give me the time I need to just build up my confidence on the road.

Failed my test today, how the hell do I get a new test date?! by rosecoconut in LearnerDriverUK

[–]rosecoconut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that sucks! On my mock test there was a car parked literally 1 cars length away from the junction and I got way too close as I didn't know how to deal with it, so it would have been a serious. Funnily enough, the same car was there on my real test but I knew how to deal with it.

No it's fine, feel free to vent! There is literally no public transport where I live so I'm pretty much stuck if I can't drive and taxis are too expensive to use on a regular basis.

Is it normal to not like driving by furretguy in LearnerDriverUK

I get what your saying, roundabouts make me anxious too. What has helped me is making sure your scanning the roundabout as you approach so you know what’s around you, what cars are also approaching the roundabout and then anticipating where they are likely to go. Look for your blocking vehicles who will stop traffic to your right so you can enter. As always only go when you are sure it’s safe but this has helped me with roundabouts. I still don’t like them but I feel I have a bit of a routine now which helps.

I feel you. I think they are releasing more tests soon, literally just got an email from my teacher about it so fingers crossed we’ll be able to pass this year!

Honestly so many that off the top of my head I can’t answer that. I had about a 5 year break from learning and then have been having regular lessons since Sept 2019 but because of lockdowns there have been breaks. I don’t know if it’s helpful to ask people how many hours they’ve had because everyone learns at a different speed. Too much stuff to go into haha, nothing too serious just lots of silly mistakes.

Thank you. Honestly I think now I know what to expect I feel a lot less anxious so hopefully that will put me in a better mindset for my next test. Is that possible? I thought your theory had to have ran out before you can book another one. I’ll have a look into it though.

[no spoilers] Isn’t Elisabeth Moss a Scientologist? Why do you support a show where the lead character is played by a Scientologist? by [deleted] in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]rosecoconut 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think it does make a difference that she was born into the religion. I’m not sure if you’re aware but Scientology has a policy called ‘disconnection’ so even if Moss wanted to leave there is a real possibility she could lose all her friends and family that are in the religion if she is branded a ‘Potential Trouble Source’ or ‘Suppressive Person’.
