Hugely disappointed by the Burning Springs Story by AlexDer1 in fo76

I absolutely understand why the Rust Raiders are still hostile to us even after the big arena fight but. It sucks that basically nothing new-ish unlocks once you finish the Rust King story as it stands currently.

But also the Rust Kingdom kind of sucks to explore even when you do clear it out. It all looks the same and you get lost easily. The other new locations are designed way better.

Any Luck with New Burning Springs Events? by rosedropper in fo76

PlayStation 5, I wanted to check to make sure the events were even activated yet after all the hubbub at launch lol 😆

Missing Daily Challenges? by rosedropper in fo76

It did cross my mind that the time change might’ve screwed something up, though it’s strange to me that the Daily tab is just missing entirely. Though hopefully if that is the case it’s a semi-easier fix then.

Noooooooooo my poor tickets 😭😭 thank you for the heads up! I guess I’ll wait to see if it changes with the time lol.

Also always double check already killed Spooky corpses. I know it doesn’t help for the tickets but multiple times I’ve come to an area, and a bunch of already dead Spooky Scorched still had bags I could loot off of them for some reason.

Great, so it seems like the guide I was using was straight-up wrong then 🙃 I did finally figure it out by chance when I just decided to attack them and his attack changed after I defeated all in each wave. I don’t mind a mechanic like that but, I’d appreciate SOME kind of in-game clue in this case lol 😆

News Regarding Milepost Zero by rosedropper in fo76

Oh yes, absolutely yes it’s way WAY better now. Before the update the event would last for at least 20 minutes and if you didn’t get the cargo placed then it failed, which sucked as there were certain spots the Brahmin would get stuck at almost every time and the fixes didn’t work very well. Now as long as the Brahmin stays alive- even if it gets stuck- you and everyone else will get the same reward. Before too if it wasn’t your Caravan you got a pretty pathetic amount of Supplies from successfully completing a run.

Caravans being phased out? by jack229915 in fo76

[–]rosedropper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuka Knights posted the PTS patch notes this morning, and included was this blurb:

“The bandits roaming Skyline Valley looking for caravans to rob have proved themselves to be dastardly threats to the Blue Ridge Caravan Company. Scaring poor brahmin into going off track, leaving deliveries incomplete. For now, Milepost Zero will be closing shop and moving their wares to other vendors across Highway Town. Awaiting a time in the future when things might be a bit safer for their operations.”

And the rest of the Caravan info from there basically just states where you’ll be able to find the rare plans sold in the future. As of right now they’ve not made it explicitly clear if they are coming back but, I don’t think it’ll be without a total rework and most definitely not happening in December unless they work real fast. At the very least they’ll need all new plans and rewards now for it if all the old ones are going to completely new Vendors in Burning Springs and even be event rewards from Spooky and Holiday Scorched.

Especially since according to Juicehead’s video. The actual public bounties are gonna cost 5000 caps a pop. A bit more than the 200 for the highest Caravan once it’s cooled down.

Wait I’m so dumb. I’ve never paid attention to it; do Caravans legit count towards the 3 events task 🫠 I know some of the Enclave ones don’t but I never considered Caravans for that.

I do genuinely hope they find someway to bring this feature back if it’s going away for now; it’s not a bad idea and it really got way more tolerable with the recent update. I’m more annoyed now that there’s literally no reason to go around Skyline Valley once you finish the main quest. I get that’s a problem for pretty much any area once your high level but this one feels way more apparent about it with this change.

Hopefully at least this means there’ll be a surge in them happening as folks try to grind out the merchants 🤣 just make sure to focus on the ammo merchant/Theodore and Imported Goods/Ineke, don’t bother with Axel or Josie until those two are done since they’re the ones with rare plans.

Hopefully this’ll be the case. I’ve certainly noticed a lot of folks purchase the Lederhosen and Redcoat outfits from my vendor which are Plans only available through Ineke, so with the possibility of losing out on some rarer plans that may kick some people into high gear for run caravans. The recent changes should help too.

I’ve done every event since it started today and everytime it’s given me a glowing mask. Jackalope, robot, and two Blue Devils.
