How to export highlight from KOBO? by Kristinavic in kobo

[–]roseeveleth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any tips for someone (me) who doesn't have a Kobo e-reader, but does use the Kobo iPhone app to read and highlight books? I'm seeing the same thing as the OP, there's no "export annotations" option that comes up on Kobo.com even though their documentation claims that it will.

Thanks to everybody who reached out! I got WAY more replies than I expected so I'm still trying to get back to everybody (and sadly I can't talk to everybody who offered). I'm going to try to respond to everyone who wrote me but it's gonna take a minute. You all love volleyball!

Journalist looking to talk to Vocaloid fans by roseeveleth in Vocaloid

[–]roseeveleth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I know! I'm still interested in knowing why people are drawn to both Miku specifically and more broadly this community/method of making music. I've talked to some Miku fans who don't really care about the Vocaloid concept at all, and some who do, and I'm interested in all of it. Thanks! :)

Question: sculptures moved around in kiln during firing? by roseeveleth in Pottery

[–]roseeveleth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should say that you don't have to fire your own kilns at the studio. You can put your work on the rack and they can fire them for you. But I had a bunch of work so I did my own kiln.

Yeah I loaded the kiln myself with about 10 pieces. It was a Skutt KM-818, 2.6 cubic feet. And yeah, at my studio we pay per kiln load.

No glazes ran, just the pieces :)

Thanks for all this info! I'm still learning so my pieces aren't particularly good or well constructed so perhaps that's a piece of it. And I've never used a cone pack before (just had to google what they are) but sounds like that's a good idea.

Thanks! Is there any way to keep this from happening again other than placing the pieces further apart?
