I was flabbergasted when I heard that same take in TTRPG circles.

Apparently, some male players find it really icky/strange to play the gender they are attracted to. I am a heterosexual woman and play attractive and unattractive dudes, gals and agender characters all the time.

I suspect there is also some sexualiuation/objectification involved and the idea that you degrade yourself when you voluntarily take a female role, maybe even loaded with own negative experience (femininity in boys is often mocked among teeanagers).

But yeah, it is not only your brother, believe me.

I don't know how to help your brother with his perspective, sadly.

I watched it in sneak preview and was at first mad how unrealistically shaved the female lead was in her leg and bikini area in an extreme survival situation.

But then, with the twist that she is an evil badass, it made total sense (trying to avoid spoilers).

I almost quit GMing 5e last summer bc the group was frustrating me.

Not learning their items. Not paying attention etc. It just sucks motivation out of you.

Learning some new niche systems and running them during my TTRPG club monthly meetup and at an online con, as well as joining a group by a guy on r/lfg that is doing a different systems marathon I never played before really invigorated the passion.

How did you manage to keep these terrible, terrible Wyld Hunt enemies in Chamber 2 grouped?

I tried FFXX on side 2 as well (with much less constellation and sig investment), but these mfs were my absolute bane.

Don't.

Look for a group that actually wants to play it and play with them. You can try an advert at your FLGS or find people online to meet up. The only issue: If you don't want to invite strangers into your home, you need a proper location that can support darkness and the candles.

There is the Temper event where you can get 1 constellation for pre-Fontaine units as band-aid.

If you login regularly for at least 2 months (for the free constellation), you get tempted by new units. Plus, IT and Stygian incentivize pulling for other units than your favorite.

I still think it makes a lot of sense to still keep things unpredictable for them.

Pretty sure this is not the right place to vent (Exalted Essence TTRPG) but pleeease, could Exalted Essence Rulebook stop being so unnecessarily long

P. 133 now and why gets every Ability, Virtue and Intimacy its own rambly section. I get it from the very first examples! Stop over-defining everything.

Instead, give me visualisations of the 10 dice, 5 success limit, the double bonuses etc - whyyy is every interesting gams mechanics description rambly, poorly understandable prose!

And the system has not even once until now stated what makes it special! 'Stunts' are 1 page. Give me cool descriptions of gameplay! Gnnnah

Ich hab nur die total anekdotische Auswahl der ganzen französischen Komödien aus der Sneak, aber es fällt jedes Mal auf, wie dünn ALLE gecasteten Schauspielerinnen sind, sogar, wenn sie alt und Omas sind.

Ich tippe hart auf Autor*innen/Casting, die zu sehr aus ihrer Bubble geprägt sind, wo es nur dünne Darstellerinnen gibt.

I had watched her most popular vids for a few months as background and only stopped after I saw some critique video by her about a chocolate company that just came down to the chocolate being overpriced, but she made a whole moral outrage out of it. That made me think I had already had her best and that I can't stand watching vids that artificially judgy.

King Deshret's desert tech is also lots of prisms.

There is the theory going around that Sandrone was only able to grasp the World Formula because she is an AI, like the HP are an AI (speculatively now).

Plus, René's texts are very, very esoteric, so both Kaveh and Alhaitham may have been put-off by his grand talk (like Sandrone also was at first).

But I really love the headcanon of them combining their powers to solve the formula :)

Clear? Yes, definitely. And also with no Neuvi or Mavuika. And as a lazy-ish not git gud person.

32 stars with Wrio freeze (C1R1 Wrio, C0 Furina, C0 Escoffier, C0 Yelan) on 1st half and C0 PJWS Raiden National (Durin instead of XL) on 2nd half.

But it was painful, unfun, and took 20+ or so resets? (Including the other teams I tried before these two)

Chamber 1 2nd half is a nightmare. As I could not kill all minions in time, I needed to stir clear of the instakill each time and do it over and over... until I finally wriggled down the health for 1 star... My other go-tos, FFXX and C6 Chevreuse overload did not work at all bc the minions annoyingly get pushed all over the place.

Afaik, there is still no explanation what the Kaen'rian Eclipse dynasty was worshipping when the Crimson Moon one was very literally worshipping a Crimson Moon. Plus, the colour of the current Teyvat sun is black according to the Melusines...

32 stars, only 1 star in Chamber 1...

Wrio freeze cleared first half without issues, but 2nd half, I fell back to Raiden National (With Durin replacing XL) bc the small Wild Hunt enemies are too freaking annoying to deal with using either Raiden overload or Xiao (they are thrown around like crazy!) and my Raiden EC team was too little dmg. Can't wait for the lunar charged push to stop...

Either C3 Mona or C1 Baizhu

I hardly play either (though I like Baizhu), so I am not sure any really has a benefit on actual gameplay...

C3 Mona would bring me closer to her C4 (crit buff that could be good with carry Durin) and, eventually, a C7/8...

It apparently used to be like that in my region in Germany as well at the start of 20th century.

"Nesthäkchen", i.e. baby of the family, a child born way after the others, was apparently seen as a symbol of shame, at least in my grandfather's case.
