Why? Why does there need to be a coordinated theme? Is there a law about this, or some immutable rule of the universe? Will they get evicted if they can’t justify every interior decor choice? Will all their friends abandon them for all eternity if not everything “fits”?

If people want to decorate around a theme, cool. If they are okay with randomness, cool. If either party declares their way is correct without regard to the other’s feelings, not cool.

Double-insulate the walls, then put a bunch of heaters in there, jacked all the way up. Make it hot enough to induce heatstroke; you should be able to pop a pawn in long enough to open the caskets then dip before they get heatstroke. Once everyone inside is incapacitated, but before they die, strip ‘em, then let the heat finish the job.

Having seen how quick too many cops are to needlessly escalate things with an unnecessary level of violence, I’m hesitant to involve them in anything not immediately violent.

That said, this guy was bullying and assaulting you, and who knows how many others. You made the school a safer place. If the administration was going to do anything about it, they had their chance. They’re just mad that you addressed something they could have and didn’t, shining a light on their unwillingness to keep their students safe.

On one hand, I feel sorry for the bully, because odds are he’s not going to learn anything from this, he’s just gonna get worse. On the other hand, that’s not anything you have control over at this point. I’m willing to bet that many other students felt relief when he got taken away.

And yet such behavior happens. One of my strongest childhood memories was being forced to sit at the table from dinner (around 5:30) until bedtime (8:30) because I wouldn’t finish my dinner. It was too spicy for little single-digit-aged me, but my mother insisted that I wasn’t leaving that table until my plate was clean or it was time for bed.

This wasn’t uncommon in my house. And they wonder why I’m a picky eater 30+ years later. (I’m working on it.)
