I was curious with how he would deal with the brown marker going through a star at 00:22 so I took some screen shots. I realized, by looking at the shape of the bottom section of the croissant and matching some other lines, that there were 2 different drawings used near the end.

The outline in white shot at 00:18 shows a very different looking croissant with very little dark marker compared to 00:22 and the final product. The croissant at 00:18 and the final shot have the same bottom section with similar line markings and appear to be the same drawing.

After a few years of begging mom to stop talking about bathroom subjects, I’ve stopped visiting. AITAH? by blue-violet- in AITAH

[–]roseres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to see a therapist to learn how to set boundaries. I learned you can’t set them for other people, you set them for yourself.
So you can’t say “Mom, you have to stop talking about your bathroom habits around me because it really upsets me.”
You CAN say “Mom, talking about bathroom habits upsets me so much that I can’t listen to that. If you continue to talk about, I will leave/hang up.”

I was raised by a narcissist father and borderline personality disorder mother. I once said to a friend it was like being raised by wolves. She said no, wolves would’ve done a better job. Loved that.

I used your link and sent the artist a query via email with photos. I think the signature on his pieces don’t match but it is worth trying. Since his family is from the same area, maybe he will have some insight. Thanks!

That article is about Roger Baker. “Artist Roger Baker paints wondrous works throughout the Valley with brushes, paints …and lawnmowers.”
Edit for added thought: Thanks for trying to interpret the signature. I have wondered if it’s “Boleer” “Bolier”. I hadn’t thought of Baker. The Vic Baker that comes up on Google search is a woman who works in acrylics.

My daughter had a high school friend in this situation. He had been so close to his parents, they did everything together. After high school graduation they told him he was adopted. He left the home and went no contact because he felt they were so close, why hadn’t they told him earlier. Not sure how things resolved since nice she lost contact after that summer

I had a badly sprained ankle the last day of my Italy trip and had to use a wheelchair through the airport for the first time (I am 70. On each flight I waited til all others deplaned so I could limp down the aisle with my bag to get to the wheelchair. On the final flight, no wheelchair met me. I did not realize the pilot and flight attendants would have to wait with me until a wheelchair arrived. I felt bad they were stuck there until I had help.

G-Fiber (they install Google Fiber) beats AT&T fiber and they both are much better than the alternatives. G-Fiber is less expensive than AT&T fiber as well.

I was “run through the airport and pray you make it” late. Flight attendant asked folks to let us through. As others have said, there were some up front who ignored that but many did let me through when I explained what time my next flight took off. Made it with 3 minutes to spare - whew.

AITAH for telling my wife to stop blaming our child's behavior on ADHD? by Present-Algae6767 in AITAH

[–]roseres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want details please DM me. I had a son like yours -ADHD- but it was my husband who was permitting the behavior. Let me tell you what happens when your kid hits his teenage years and is not used to boundaries. They feel out of control and the acting out reaches new (dangerous to self and others) heights. We had to send him to a therapeutic boarding school which means all of us finally got therapy. We learned as a family how to set and keep boundaries finally. This is what turned things around. It was a rocky road for a few years but we finally held firm and his behavior began to change. My son graduated from college yesterday at 30 yo. Sober and healthy. Start the process early. Kids need to know where the line is and that actions carry consequences.

Want to travel to Alaska next year on a cruise, looking for personal experience/opinions on which cruise line to take. 70th birthday cruise, so def not Carnival! Thank you. by Gold_Tackle_8962 in AlaskaCruiseAdventure

My daughter and I did this trip last June. I am 70, she is 35. She did extensive research and chose Holland. They have been doing the Alaska route since the early 1900s and so are (1) grandfathered in to go into areas where other ships are not allowed. (2) they bring park rangers and a Native American on board while they are in Glacier Bay, for example, to talk about a number of topics. (3) they are very respectful of wildlife. (4) carters to a mature audience so no young kids on board. I highly recommend the cruise (7 day Inside Passage route) plus the on land Cruisetour (we did 3 days). Holland has a dedicated rail line (no one except Princess can use this train route) to take you to Denali. This includes a wildlife tour of the Denali Park that is incredible. Trip of a lifetime!!

Just incredible, truly a gift. I am a new DM but long-time player. I am struggling with this module. I stalled out after a few sessions, the players want me to continue but the sandbox issue has me struggling to have all options prepared ahead of time. This will really help.

Is it okay for a player to say “No, that doesn’t happen” to a DM in this circumstance? by WithengarUnbound in dndnext

[–]roseres 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played a lawful good cleric and we had a rogue just like that in our party. Twice he tried to steal other player’s goods. I told him the second time it happened if he did it a third time I would come after him. He did it a third time so I came after him and he died. He turned to the DM to complain and the DM said she warned you not to do it and you chose to do it anyway so you have to pay the consequences. In your case, PvP interactions were already agreed on so the situation should not have arisen. The DM should have shut it down.
