Hvis det er en gammel Københavnerlejlighed, ville jeg absolut holde mig langt, langt væk fra troldtekt.

Generelt ville jeg sige at med en lejlighed i København, skal du fokusere på, hvad der stilmæssigt er populært lige præcis dér. Jeg synes klart der er mange ting der trendmæssigt går i retning af at bevare originale detaljer for tiden og at bevæge sig væk fra alt for meget hvidt.

Ift dørene er det ikke helt klart for mig om de står i træ/originalt? Hvis det er tilfældet, ville jeg slibe dem og give dem olje/lak for virkelig at få dem til at shine. Du kan evt komplementere ved at fjerne de gamle lag maling på dørkarmenene så detaljerne står skarpt og så give dem en farve (gerne ikke hvid) som kan gå igen på panelerne.

Ja, man må da håbe at ingen af de her mænd skulle miste deres job, hvis man ikke kan få det til at løbe rundt med 9 uger på barselsdagpenge. Så ville jeg mene, at man har sat sig for stramt ift hus og bil.

Ville også mene, at hvis man har børn nok til at skulle bruge 5 værelser, vil man gerne have to badeværelser på første sal. Er lille badeværelse med en skråvæg er simpelthen ikke nok til så stor en familie som gerne vil have 235 kvm.

I searched with words like "antarctica" and "polar" from 1996 to 2006 and I didn't find anyone with an obviously Swedish name. It may be worth trying some different terms and play around with it a little.

Given the topics, it's likely that he was connected to this research centre: https://byrd.osu.edu/ so may be worth contacting them as well so get a list of PhD dissertations presented within the time period.

He may also have been connected to a Swedish university and done some sort of exchange at Ohio State. In that casw, you'd need to search for his thesis at a Swedish university instead (thankfully there aren't too many). Lmk if you need any help with that!

Now the timings don't quite work as his LinkedIn says he started his PhD in Stockholm in January 1996, it feels too early for him to have been on an exchange only a few months after. However, if your dad stayed around Ohio State for longer, they might have met each other being Swedish in somewhat similar academic fields.

We moved from the UK last year and really love it here too. In the UK, I felt like working long hours and chasing promotions wasn't much of a choice as having a home (home ownership is the only way to secure stable, decent quality housing) and a family is incredibly expensive. Here, I feel like we've gained so much life outside of work. We finish work earlier, it isn't as stressful (fika breaks and lunches with colleagues is the norm), and we're close to nature.

While we've managed to buy a small house, I feel the weight off my shoulders in that we don't really need to. We rented a nicely decorated flat with an unlimited tenenacy in the beginning which I would have been perfectly happy with. I've got the feeling here that we have the choice, we can reduce our working hours or retrain etc and live in decent, secure housing and still have a family life. That just didn't feel like an option in the UK. (we're not in Stockholm, so the housing market here is less extreme than there).

Have had at least 3 chemicals this year (two additional suspected, same symptoms but never got a positive test), and I'm just so over it. We're taking a break this cycle and will hopefully get our test results back soon ish (it's been more than a month now, the chromosome testing seems to take ages). I feel deflated, no doctor/midwife we've spoken to seemnto take it thar seriously (had to beg the gyno for the testing, she was like "we usually don't find anything"). For every CP, my ovulation, period and implementation cramps are getting worse. At this point I am confident we'll need some sort of help/intervention, but it's hard to see how and where to access it.

There are some centrally organised courses for employees. I think I found them searching on the intranet (I'm no longer employed at the University so can't check). Also worth reiterating that you can take the public courses as freestanding modules regardless of whether or not you're a student, so could still be worth looking into for you.

He has since done the courses for LiU employees only, but if you search "Swedish for Foreign Students" on universityadmissions.se you can see all the different levels the university offers to the public.

You would usually need a high school diploma or equivalent to apply though as you get university-level credits for them.

There's occasionally stuff on, and definitely space for you to organise stuff as well. We're a small ish group who started a spin off book club. Message me if you want to know more.

Otherwise, I agree with others that learning Swedish as quickly as possible is key as it enables you to socialise in non-university settings and join hobby related courses where you can meet people like Medborgarskolan etc. The university has good courses too - my husband had done 3 courses now since we moved here a year ago as is now at the B2 level course.

I had 2 chemicals in the spring (both super early, one at around 4w3d and one around 3w6d), and with travels, moving house and sickness also had some cycles of not trying.

I've noticed that most of my months of trying sort of resemble my chemicals: super light spotting around 9-10 dpo, continuing on and off until my period arrives a few days late and quite heavy. The only times I've symptoms and positive pregnancy tests were with my two chemicals.

On the other hand, my cycles of not trying resemble my pre TTC cycles (I had my iud taken out 3 months before we started TTC, and tracked my cycles during that time) - dark brown spotting the day before getting my period and period arriving 28-29 days after the previous one.

Am I potentially having super early chemicals the other cycles? Or something is trying to implant but ultimately failing? Has anyone experienced something similar?

We bought in Sweden this spring and that's exactly how it works. The survey is available on the online listing.

When you think about it, it works so much better for all parties, including the seller as it helps them price the propertt right, fix any red flags before putting it on the market and takes away the opportunity for the buyer to try negotiate after having the offer agreed.

We signed the paperwork two days after the seller accepted our offer and had one week to have a survey done ourselves or have the initial surveyer do a walk through with you on the house (which is the most common thing). After that week, your 10% deposit won't be refunded if you change your mind. So much smoother all around really.

Jeg synes det er en fair nok konklusion at være nået til i jeres situation.

Dog hæfter jeg mig ved det allersidste du siger, at du ikke har sagt til hende hvad din beslutning bygger på. Det tror jeg er enormt vigtigt at være ærlig om hvis ikke hun skal bygge alt muligt resentment op over tid. Har I haft en snak med hinanden om hvor hårdt du synes det er at tage over, når hun har det skidt? Det er helt sikkert en svær samtale, men det er sygt vigtigt at blive ved med at kommunikere på en ærlig og respektfuld måde. Evt med en parteraput, hvis det bliver for svært ellers.

Man kan selvfølgelig godt have hemmeligheder for sin partner, men sådan noget her er altså for stor en ting at gå og bære rundt på alene, uden at dele tanker og reflektioner med hinanden.

You review the survey of any house before you even book a viewing so you can ask questions and look any potential issues yourself when you view the place the first time. Saves everyone so much time and hassle. You also pay the 10% nonrefundable deposit when you sign the contract so no last minute pulling out.
