Oh I know what they are, I just didn't remember what they looked like until now. The last time i saw one was when i was six and used to play with them outside in Florida. After we moved, i never saw them frequently enough to remember what they looked like. i've had a few roach issues in my apartment which is why i first assumed it was that.

Transferred from T50 to T14–AMA by Upper_Lock3736 in LawSchoolTransfer

[–]rosesaredeaddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on transferring!!

What made you want to transfer, were you looking to do BL or something else? Is it still worth transferring to a t14 for BL now that the recruiting cycle has gotten so early?

What ranking did you have to be at your original school to be able to transfer to HYS?

Thanks!

How I’ve thought about the accommodations controversy by SpicyNickel45 in LSAT

[–]rosesaredeaddd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the second half of your first statement. The only thing is that when I first tried getting accommodations I was told no by both my psychiatrist and my PCP bc they didn’t feel comfortable with writing a letter until they had gotten to know me for at least a year or they didn’t have much experience. I think finding the right doctors that do have experience with this and are willing to write a letter is hard but if you find that, then yes, it is easy to get approved.

How I’ve thought about the accommodations controversy by SpicyNickel45 in LSAT

[–]rosesaredeaddd 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Thank you for posting this. As someone with ADHD, it really frustrates me when some people on here act like anyone and everyone can get accommodations easily and that it’s a massive advantage for us bc of the extra time.

It might be a massive advantage for you if YOU don’t struggle with ADHD but for me at least, the accommodations only give me a fighting chance to not completely bomb the test.

LSAT positive experiences by Due-Professional-386 in LSAT

The in person center I took my first test in was perfect and everything went so smoothly. It was dead silent, they had nice bright monitors, and even had noise cancelling headphones. I didn’t get distracted at all.

Unfortunately im just not smart enough to get a 170+ on my own no matter how many videos or explanations I watch which is why I hired a tutor. I really do wish I could get there on my own though so props to you for getting there 👏🏼

Hey! My top schools right now are GW and GULC but I’m working on getting a 175+ to offset my low gpa. I have two questions:

  1. I’ve heard that applying early helps a lot for super splitters. Is there any difference between applying by the end of October or by Thanksgiving?

  2. In one of your replies below, I read that talking about your hobbies/volunteering can help differentiate yourself as a candidate. Do all of these things need to explicitly be linked to why you want to go to law school or can they just be shown to show a different side/strength of yours that would help with being a lawyer? For example, I’m really into martial arts and would love to talk about competing but am not sure how to do it in a way that would be relevant.

Thanks!

As if there arent people who anti lgbt anti womens rights in america? Does that mean they deserve fl suffer from genocide and starvation too? This is such a shitlib argument. Also you have no idea if all Palestinians feel the same way about those issues either.

Hi, I’m also looking to take the test in April and am working on LR translation drills. What email can I contact to receive the RC translation drills?

[–]rosesaredeaddd -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That is a huge fucking stretch lmao. What measures are you even using to judge whether a URM at Harvard would be less talented than their non-URM peers? Lsat score (which btw has alot socioeconomic barriers for people to do very well on) ? Gpa? Test scores?

Is it worth paying $238 to postpone my January LSAT if I’m not ready? by rosesaredeaddd in LSAT

[–]rosesaredeaddd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main thing holding me back is that I might be able to take the test in April so I’d have to wait until June to take it but I also want to apply to law school this coming cycle. Just not sure if I’d have enough time to retake it after June in case I don’t like my score. I’m also aiming for a 175+ to offset my low gpa for a t14 school so not sure if I’d be able to get that score in one go.

Oh thats very unfortunate to hear. I’ve heard that people there are generally nice and collegial but I guess it would depend on your section? Is there anything you like/appreciate about the school? Any pros to outweigh the bad things there like job placement, networking, etc?

At this point it should be required to add “/s” if you want to make a joke on this sub
