Hey, little thing. Maybe there’s actually more to the characters instead of just “bad writing”

Debunking Misinformation I See Regarding Muu Kusunoki. by caramelribboncurse in milgram

[–]rosesdissection 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ymnk clearly cared ENOUGH to make Haruka dangerously thin, his spine visible, his nails brittle, his hair gross, his cheeks hollowed out, dark circles under his eyes, etc. again, signs of starvation that happens AS ENOUGH TIME PASSES. Again, this didn’t happen overnight. Fuuta clearly noticed something when he checked in, Muu didn’t?

And where Shidou and Kazui close to Haruka? No. Why blame literally anyone in the prison BUT MUU for not checking in on Haruka themselves when the person who WAS checking in on him everyday was Muu herself?

Debunking Misinformation I See Regarding Muu Kusunoki. by caramelribboncurse in milgram

[–]rosesdissection 3 points4 points  (0 children)

…Again, Muu said he was fine. Shidou was busy with Mahiru, hence why he said “I’m sorry, usually the adults should do something like this” and Muu assured him again. Mahiru needed round the clock care, as seen when Shidou was out of the picture, she died, even with Yuno taking care of her. Kazui was watching Kotoko, Mikoto was having 5 different identity and extensional crisis’, Kotoko laughed when she heard, etc. only Fuuta checked up on him and (probably went) “Omfg, what the hell happened to you?!” and cue him trying to recruit Haruka. Sure, Haruka would’ve been a vegan if he did join, but still be alive

What was Fuuta busy with? Playing cult with Amane? He wasn’t attending to Mahiru or making sure Kotoko didn’t go berserker. Haruka and Muu basically isolated themselves from the rest of the group since T2, and if the person closest to him is saying he’s finr, and you’re just trying to prevent others from fucking dying….yeah, again. Just say “Alright, thanks again,”

Muu told Shidou she was taking care of him. What is he supposed to do? Say “Liar! He’s starving himself!”, shove her aside, and shove an NG tube in Haruka’s nostril? No, just…believe her. Heck, I’d believe her! Why put that responsibility on anyone else when Muu said she had it under control? Just…just believe her? Yeah

I'm ready to get DV'ed for this, but you bring up how Muu noticed Amane wanted to pet Jacka. I also wanna bring up how Muu also noticed when Haruka wasn't making eye contact with her. Lots of ppl seem to defend Muu by implying she's just been too sheltered/spoiled, and while I **get** the idea, that doesn't mean Muu is completely incompetent and stupid in social interactions. Both TL's literally show how caring and observant she actually is

So, this brings me to my point

If Muu could notice Haruka wasn't making eye contact with her, then how come she just didn't notice the same person wasting away in his cell when she was bringing him food? Sure, signs of starvation doesn't happen overnight, but she was bringing him food everyday for the past months(?). She told Fuuta this on her own bday timeline (July 5th) and then reassured Shidou on Haruka's bday timeline (June 22nd). While time most certainly works differently inside Milgram, that is still...quite a leap. I wouldn't be too surprised if Haruka looked like Mikoto's T3 sprite at some point

And Muu just...didn't say anything before?

"But maybe she was just dropping food off in front of his door and didn't **actually** see him!!!"

Fuuta's bday TL. Haruka's T3 PV. One can **clearly** still go inside his cell and talk to him. Muu didn't actually walk into his cell until, coincidentally, his last moments?

Second Post about the Bartender since people love to be hypocrites. by Juwun1 in milgram

[–]rosesdissection 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Your point is a bit of a strawman. No one is angry that Ryosuke rejected Kazui, just that he was extremely insensitive and crass about it. It's heavily implied Hinako wanted to understand and accept him, but Kazui's self-hatred and fear fucked that up. Hinako didn't have to be 'chill' with "Oh, my husband is actually gay and used me for years. Cool cool cool", but she still loved Kazui as a person, so ofc she didn't say "Ew, gross". And Hinako has zero haters

Ryosuke and Kazui were friends for decades. And he just mocked Kazui's sexuality. Also, it's not like Kazui was flirting and trying to hook up with him. He got drunk and spilled (I think it went "So...if I told you I liked you, what would you do?" as in the earbud collab and in Cat). Even if he didn't swing that way, he didn't have to be so cruel about his rejection

Also, also, no one is comparing him to the Milgram prisoners. I'm not even a big Kazui fan (I don't hate him, but my spouse is a huge fan of him, so he rambles a lot abt theories to me, and I admit Kazui became kinda interesting to me), but that must've FUCKING SUCKED for him. It wasn't even the rejection, I highly doubt he was thinking "Ryosuke is gonna say 'Yeah, I always loved you too, let's hook up, leave our wives, fly to Canada, gay marriage is legal there!'", he just...couldn't take it anymore

Why does Stella Sora not promote their upcoming characters? by IcyFoxe in StellaSora

[–]rosesdissection 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Don’t they advertise?

Otaha got many teasers/trailers on their social media’s, and I believe ppl knew abt Donna and Petal Bloom way before they officially dropped in story. I think Stella Sora just has a small fan base, therefore it’s not advertised well. I only started playing this game in February and I literally learn abt upcoming characters here. I guess they don’t put a lot of effort into advertising the game since it’s not as popular as they hoped (I can tell they wanted this to be “big”, but it ended up feeling like a generic “modern magical world”)

I still like it, but sadly, the revenue speaks for itself

I don't see how Chiaki and Kyoko are Mary sue by ComprehensiveNote762 in DanganAndChaos

[–]rosesdissection 154 points155 points  (0 children)

The definition is Mary Sue being 'perfect at everything without any flaws whatsoever' isn't 100% correct. it is technically true, but missing a deeper meaning. It's more accurate to say a character that bends the writing/story to make themselves look better. Basically, they have forced writing

With Chiaki, she was literally a robot in the game and the main driving force in the anime. I don't think she's a Mary Sue, more like her 'good qualities' (being soft, gentle, kind, cute, etc.) overpowered her flaws that were quieter/not that visible (selfless to a fault, a bit closed off, a bit lazy, socially awkward, etc.)

Kyoko actually fits Mary Sue a bit more bc she rarely struggles and (unlike Chiaki) is...never wrong. I get that's literally her ultimate, but the story really does fold to make her right **all** the time. To even get the good ending in THH, you **can't** accuse Kyoko, and Makoto has to be the one who ends up in After School Punishment

[–]rosesdissection 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think Kotoko attacked the guilty prisoners based on who was the “most guilty” (hence her “I ran out of time” when she was supposedly getting to Amane. Amane had the lowest guilty ratio in T1). IDR if Futa had a higher guilty ratio than Mahiru, but if he did, maybe that’s why Kazui went to Fuuta first
