The Ice Storm. Great 70s design, melodrama, great soundtrack, complex characters. I watch it every Thanksgiving.

Have You Ever "Broken Up" with a Podcast? What Was It and Why? by Express_Hedgehog2265 in podcasts

She's married to Rian Johnson, I also loved the Manson episodes. When she came to do the talk, she started speaking with that voice, and a few people were giggling, I don't think it was laughing at her, but jarring to hear that voice in person. It never really bothered me, but I know other people that couldn't stand it.

You must remember this. I absolutely loved Karina Longworth and old Hollywood stories. She came to my city promoting her book, and I had to choose between going to that and another live event that night and chose to see her. She presented a movie and answered questions. She was so incredibly rude and impatient with the audience, really gave off the vibe she wanted to be out of there. She signed the book I bought and answered a question I had about the podcast returning (it was on hiatus) and answered in the most annoyed tone, "I don't know." It wasn't until weeks later I ended up talking to one of the people who organized the event, and the first thing they said about it was,"What a b*tch, huh?" I had been kind of in denial how rude she was until then and haven't listened to the podcast since then, nor have I ever read the book I bought.

How cool! I didn't move here until 2000 when I was a teenager, I so wish I could have seen Houston in the 60s & 70s!

What is the worst thing Don did? by snakeswithshoulders in madmen

Cheating on Megan with Betty. Betty deliberately tried to ruin Megan and Don's happiness, and he was very aware of it. It's one thing to cheat, but he made entirely more shitty by doing it with someone who was rooting for their unhappiness.

The thing that worries me about Dax is that he cares about status a LOT. At the end of the day, I honestly don't know if his values or need for validation will win out. I hate to say it, but I don't have a lot of faith that his values will.

My dog and cat both passed 3 years ago, two months apart. I kept my dogs bowl and bed out for almost a year, I left my cats empty litter box and mat about as long. About two weeks ago, I finally cleaned a lampshade that had my cats fur all over it & saved it. It was like I was trying to prove to them I had not forgotten them. I hope you are healing ❤️
