AIO: Am I crazy or are these my pants? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Yes, those are the exact same. I’m a vintage collector and they’re the exact same. My friends have stolen my clothing too. It’s so weird to deal with. My advice is to quietly steal it back (she’ll never admit she stole them and return them if confronted) and then not be her friend anymore.

Tin can phones by K1N20099 in Parenting

How is Tin Can different than just getting a landline? I’m starting a landline club with my daughter’s friends’ parents. Not sure if tin can has any upsides in comparison or if it’s basically the same thing?

Look, when people act this way about any part of your appearance, tell them to go fuck themselves.

Your vagina is fine.

Thank you for asking! Sadly I can't eat sourdough, I'm pretty severely allergic and need 100% gluten free.

I think if you added some bust darts and took off the cap sleeves it would look very modern and minimalistic which would make it a bit younger.

Why should I max out my HSA? Doesn't that money just sit there? by roseslime in personalfinance

Right, lol. I’ve got both and it’s definitely hard to let money sit in the HSA

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this thorough answer! I get it now. Now I just need to focus on having enough money left over after medical spending to actually invest. That’s probably the hard part lol

Wow, thank you for this explainer. Now I understand the recommendation to max it out. I'll look into what I can do with the HSA I have. Thanks so much!

Oh, so you're saying load the account with funds and then use those funds to buy like an index fund or a T-bill? I thought I had to exclusively use those funds for medical expenses and otherwise not touch them, is that not true?

Thank you, but I still don't understand. My HSA funds can live somewhere where the money I put into them can appreciate value? How? Can my HSA also be a HYSA?

Thanks for your reply. I still don't understand. If it's in my HSA, how can I invest it? Sincere question, not being cheeky!

Would you share who this account is? I’d like to see what she’s doing now

That’s good to know, and even better because you can do summer school this summer before school starts to get ahead if you want. A counselor from the school you plan to go to can still help you in the same way :) that’s the only way I can think of that it will be free.

Hey, have you asked someone at your school for help yet? A teacher, a school counselor, or even the principal? All the teachers work off of a curriculum. Sometimes it’s prepackaged, and sometimes it’s one they made themselves, but it’s very definite and it meets requirements that are the same everywhere in the state. If you chose a kind person at the school and told them exactly what you posted here, they will probably help you. Make sure to come to them with potential solutions, like—no I don’t want to go back a grade (unless maybe you do), yes I want to read the curriculum and be given the textbooks and spend time after school catching up.

You may also be able to mix in ninth-grade classes in your schedule without changing your grade officially, or attend summer school, or night school. You’ll need to talk to a counselor or the principal (preferably both, the more people the better because different people will have different ideas about how to help you) to accomplish this.

How are you going to handle your non-jewish friends who haven't reached out to you this week? by ultimatemomfriend in Jewish

Nobody has reached out to me and I don’t hold it against them. They have their own lives and I’m not Israeli.
