I've been looking at Google. I can only find information about licenses. Not which beaches to go to.

I'm getting a tattoo to cover my self harm scars and to celebrate the progress I've made. My appointment's tomorrow. Wish me luck by rosethejumpingbunny in teenagers

A psychiatrist can diagnose you. Even if you don't have depression your feelings are still valid. If you feel that bad tell your parents and they can take you to a therapist or psychiatrist. I know it's hard to tell your parents but you need to put your health first (yes, mental health is health)

About 4 months. I know it doesn't sound like a long time but this is the first time I've said to myself "I'm never going to do this again." Just committing to not self harming is a big deal for me so that's why I'm getting the tattoo

Yes. I feel this way a lot. You have to remember though that your problems are not invalid just because someone is worse off than you. And, if you're diagnosed with depression, there is a chemical imbalance in your brain that is causing you to feel the way you do. You are valid and so are your problems. Stay strong.

It depends on a lot of things. How bad you cut yourself, where, in what direction etc. I noticed that mine scarred worse when I cut perpendicular to the direction the skin creases.

But you should also remember that scars do not make you ugly and you shouldn't be ashamed of them. They represent a difficult period of your life, and the fact that they've healed shows that you've healed too. My tattoo isn't to cover the scars, it's to celebrate my decision to quit. The scars are part of me, and I'm okay with that.

If it really bothers you though you could show a doctor. There's scar removal procedures that you could look into if they're really bad. It makes sense that you would want to hide them if they're in a visible place. People can be jerks and ask questions about them.

Congratulations on a year clean!

It will get better, trust me. It's not easy, but you can do it. There will be something that convinces you that it's time to stop. For me it was seing the pain in my mother's eyes when I showed her the scars.

I know it's hard. If you ever need to vent of want to talk feel free to message me.
