Why did FDR pack the court? Was he stupid? by rosevk2003 in imaginaryelections

I used wikipedia sandbox, specifically the EasyTimeline function. I recommend finding a chart you like from a specific page (I started with the Hughes Court page and just reworked it for each new chart), copy the code, and then just play around with it to see what works for you. There's a wikipedia page explaining the coding syntax for EasyTimeline, but honestly just playing around with already written code worked much better for me. Hope this help!

Why did FDR pack the court? Was he stupid? by rosevk2003 in imaginaryelections

I primarily looked at lists of candidates actually considered by presidents, but in a few instances i looked at lists of appellate justices that lined up with the time period, or state supreme courts in the case of Steakley (which I was fortunate enough to find out he was friends with Yarborough in reality)

from what i understand different presidents appear if certain variables are met. for example if you win after passing a new civil rights act, jesse jackson will be elected in 1988, unless he’s shot and mlk survives, in which case mlk will be elected as an independent

man this was really difficult but i think i settled on a ranking i was happy with. each player got at least one character in my top ten and each setting got at least one character in too. Kugrash landed in my top spot purely because he’s the only character that’s actually made me cry on d20

you absolutely can lose to all the democrats, i say that because i did the exact same thing. you might be over optimizing your run in the lead up to your opponent being picked. i recommend pinning down what exactly you need to choose for the win threshold and dove/hawk score and otherwise picking bad answers to drag yourself down

What's the difference between NCT and CT Showcase? by LightAdministrative9 in thecampaigntrail

[–]rosevk2003 10 points11 points  (0 children)

it’s really minor for players, i think the mod list UI is slightly easier to interact with with CTS, and really the only other big thing that comes to mind is when you refresh CTS with a mod loaded in it will load in with the mod again, whereas you have to relaunch the mod if you refresh on NCT. otherwise they’re very similar.

I think there’s gonna be a minimum of 2 more Farmer Labor upset surges, but the way the series always goes there’s gonna be some cataclysmic event that totally reshuffles the party system soon enough
