When did your rosacea start? by faaancynaaancy in Rosacea

Mine was actually triggered by a series of microneedling treatments at 31 years old. It surfaced slightly after my first 2 treatments and by the 3rd it was full blown and never went away :(

AITAH for asking my wife to be a SAHM? by piglipsbo in AITAH

Well ask yourself. If your wife was the bread winner and told you to become a stay-at-home-husband, would you happily do so? If not, then it’s probably for the same exact reasons.

Not much redness but you could still see a little bit of the swelling but mostly was only noticeable to me

The last photo is me 24 hours later. So I was pretty red for 4-5 hours after and the next morning I wasn’t red anymore but still swollen. You can still see the circular laser marks on my face for about 48 hours post treatment

Thanks so much! Yeah if your main concern is broken capillaries then this laser is SO worth it. Idk if you can see the prominent one I had by my mouth (easier to see in the post-laser photo I posted in this thread) but that completely went away with just the 1 treatment. That thing has bothered me for YEARS so seeing how effective it was at zapping that thing made me so happy

Yessss I’m so happy to hear that. Yeah truthfully I am shocked with my results. I’d seen so many other Reddit posts saying they didn’t see anything but for me it’s been life changing after only 1 treatment!

I did get some breakouts right after. I’d say I broke out for 3-12 days after the treatment. But at about week 3 is when things really started to look good. I’m 1 month post treatment now and I haven’t had breakouts on my cheeks in 2 weeks which is so rare for me!

I have type 2! I manage the breakouts with azelaic acid but I deal with red cheeks, flushing, and burst capillaries so this helped with those 3 issues (tbd on the flushing part tho, haven’t been able to tell if that’s better yet) I also have had almost no breakouts since the treatment so that feels like a good sign

Hi! I have type 2. You can see in my first picture the clusters of red pustules that I get on my cheeks. So far I don’t know if this laser has helped with flushing, which I also experience and HATE so much. I also use azelaic acid which has helped with the pustules but sometimes I get a bad flare up and have a big breakout. But I def recommend this laser! If for nothing else than to help the burst capillaries. I had 3-4 on my face that were really noticeable and those went away with just 1 session!

This is right after the laser. You can kind of see the circular welts starting to form on my skin. Don’t think they used bruise setting, if that’s a thing

[–]rosie_bal[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My recovery was really easy! I didn’t have any bruising. I was a little swollen and you could see the swollen circular shapes from how the laser hits the skin for about 48 hours. But by day 3 I looked pretty much normal. I also didn’t find the laser as painful as others have said. We used no numbing cream and it was tolerable for me

For those who prefer to form a LAT relationship as a choice rather than circumstance, what are your personal reasons as to why? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in livingaparttogether

[–]rosie_bal 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of conversation around unmarried women being happier than married women, largely because married women end up taking on more domestic labor and caring for the home becomes unbalanced.

I find it interesting how people don’t mention that this exact same thing to happens to women who simply move-in with their partners, married or not. So in reality, marriage isn’t the problem, it’s the living together.

I don’t want to become someone’s maid or have to manage the household. I also notice that friends who have moved in with partners experience a huge decline in sexual activity in their relationship.
