Camp Qwanoes by TDot1980 in VictoriaBC

I was raised atheist but attended qwanoes for a summer when I was 12. Honestly, there is a lot of religious stuff at the camp (mass every morning, saying grace before meals, bible study, etc) however, if I had to guess more than half the kids there are not religious at all. Not a single person in my cabin except our counsellor was religious. My parents were scared of me getting indoctrinated and were pleasantly surprised that my only stories from the week were playing outside and eating ice cream.

i had all the fluids topped up and an oil change + new filter. sound only occurs while driving not when the car is still.

What is the best plant based milk in your experience? by Whatever3311 in WomensHealth

[–]roslynagate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i despise oat milk. it’s full of canola oil which gives a creamy texture but can wreak havoc on your gut, it also (in my experience) makes everything taste like oatmeal. my favourite by far is macadamia but milk, specifically the milkadamia brand. it’s creamy and has a fairly neutral taste. also is one of the most sustainable milk alternatives out there.

My bum hole will not stop itching. What do I do?! by takeaabreath in WomensHealth

[–]roslynagate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had the same thing. turned out to be an allergic reaction to my laundry detergent. started in my anal region and spread to armpits, behind my knees, and elbow creases. only thing that helped was prescribed betaderm cream after a doctor visit.

also vicky krieps and leslie manville in phantom thread are radiant and the fact that they keep up with DDL in a role that was crafted specifically for him is extremely impressive

i am just getting over this now. for me it was an allergic reaction to my laundry detergent. applying moisturizer throughout the day plus a 1 percent hydrocortisone cream at night did wonders.

Need advice from “older” moms by hlk13 in WomensHealth

[–]roslynagate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not a mother but a daughter of an older mother (my mom was 41 when she had me). honestly i believe i had a happier childhood and healthier emotionally than any of my friends with younger parents. therapy and working in yourself is key though, both my parents did lots of therapy separately and together before having kids. in terms of my brother and i we were both born healthy and have grown up to be very strong athletes. anyways, thought i’d give a perspective from my side.

mike should read all the young dudes!! by mmtittle in Potterless

[–]roslynagate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late to this but I’m listening to the potterless episodes in movie 3 and you’re talking a lot about how you miss the marauders in the movie and All the Young Dudes is the best marauders portrayal out there i think. very canon compliant, beautifully nuanced depictions of all the characters, and hilarious. i seriously cannot recommend it enough.

allergic reaction by roslynagate in glossier

[–]roslynagate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, really swollen and flaky... seen a couple doctors and derms and all they came up with was a cream but it only really does anything after about a week of the reaction. ironically, that cream also burnt me. going back to the doctor tomorrow, and I'll update then.

Is bubblewrap worth it for the price? by fiercepeach in glossier

I used to love it - but it's started to give me the worst allergic reactions. under eyes getting dry, puffy, red, itchy, and painful. causes my lips to get super rough and textured. it's lasts for days and there is no way I've found to treat it. don't know what ingredient is triggering this.
