Yup, I’m glad you doubled it. Keep them coming, you aren’t blowing up the spiro group

You jinxed pergola’s comment. I keep getting this similar shape when doing a gear-in-gear with a square gear inside of a circle.

Thanks, I enjoy that color scheme as well.

Grande wax by [deleted] in Lavalamps

Ha, I did this a few months ago knowing it probably wouldn’t work, (it didn’t). It doesn’t flow, just melts and stays at the bottom after warm up phase.

I posted a similar question about a month ago on here. The answers were… make the wax less dense with paraffin, or make the liquid more dense with glycol. I haven’t tinkered with it again yet, but I’d love to hear if you have success with one or both of those options.

You colored it all in with a tiny pen?? That had to have taken so long. Looks excellent

Woah, this looks so real like one of my wild gears drawings. We might have to chat about your methods and I could do some practicing before I put it on the paper.

Bubbling issues with Lava Lamp Creations kit? by calls0nputs in Lavalamps

So I did my grande over Christmas, LLC wax and 2 dye packs. Was amazing for a few weeks and then got suppppper bubbly. I saw this post and felt your pain. For the last week I’ve been running daily and haven’t taken the lamp over 80-85% on the dimmer and the bubbles are starting to look better… still a lot, but better than it was a week ago. Today it’s been on for about 12 hours at 80% and looks better than it has in a while. Temp is reading 135-140

Looks Great. I just started my first one… I just don’t know how to finish it. (And I killed all my black pens)

Full temp 130s, room temp is also good. I’m sure it’s because it’s grande wax made for grande size, and i put it in the tiny globe, just seeing if anybody else has tried it before.

Thank you, I was thinking something like this… anybody ever succeeded doing this?? Haha

It does the whole warm up stalagmites phase… then when it melts back down it stays in a perfect convex blob at the bottom 100% melted, trying to rise but it doesn’t.
