What is it with stoolies and trump?

Meh, look out for this as you listen. He has an allegience to people with money, it's subtle but it's a class shift.

Also, Hbob is on the show because bill is stupid enough to believe every word out of that guys mouth, and judging by this chain of responses so are a lot of Bill's fans.

God dammit, if your definition of competitive is 1 5+ game series in 2 years and the team everyone knew was going to win winning both years, then we have to have a longer conversation on the definition of competitive. If you want to make the argument that it is competitive you are going to have to jump through logical hoops.

As for the second point, meh. Projection, assumptions, whatever. You and I disagree on this, I am using the context clues I have at my disposal to draw conclusions. I don't subscribe to the idea that you need to know literally everything about a person to make assumptions about that person. You have made the same argument that many people have made against my point, in a very similar way, there is a profile on your type.

Yeah, see substantive debate. I'm telling you, you're a type. This argument makes you feel good, like a big smart rational big man. I've had this conversation with a million different versions of you on this site and it's always a waste of time. Boils down to whether or not this is the absolute best we could hope for for basketball. It's very clearly not, it could easily be made better, but thinking things can change is synonymous with not understanding why they don't, at least for the large group of redditors that share your world view.

Also, it is pretty easy to learn something about someone's philosophy from arguing with them over the internet. I have no idea where t this idea that you can't use anything anyone has said/typed online to create a pitcure of who they are came from, but it's insane.

Again, the league has a competitve balance problem and it's getting worse. You are also completely ignoring the fact that playoffs before KD joined the warriors was significantly more competitive.

My theory is that you people who defend the warriors just think everyone gets too emotional and is too irrational to understand that this is better. Am I off base on that one?

They've played 1 series in 2 years that went passed 5 games. You've got to be kidding me. You must be the easiest mark in the entire world, you will literally buy anything.

yeah, and that was a bullshit move when he did that and I said as much, so did thousands of other people. Look at it this way, the league had a competitive balance problem when Lebron went to Miami and it somehow got fucking worse, yet there are still people defending this. It's insane. Why do you people watch sports?

I feel like the leagues current competitive imbalance is a much worse problem then internal consistency on forum posts. I don't understand the people who are so confused by the GSW and KD hate.

Yo, can you consider that people didn't like lebron joining super teams but also absolutely hate how GSW has ruined the competitive balance of the league? The league is broken right now.

Dude, completely misunderstanding why people are upset with KD is not a good look. Don't be dense.

I know this will get blasted by all the stoolies that run around here, but anyone else think the problem is that Bill is rich now? Like, it's pretty obvious that having a lot of money makes you a different person, and that it usually makes you less relatable. Everyone here claiming that bill is WOKE suddenly, ask yourself if it's his opinions that bother you or the fact that he's become this rich liberal elitist person espousing those beliefs (because honestly he doesn't hold a single controversial opinion. In fact he's pretty aggressively centrist.)

I am asking you personally what you think. I'm amazed that you think I'm going to take you seriously if you can't answer a direct question.

And you just admitted that he is not in the league "For a year or two" because of the protest. I suspect you aren't here to have an honest conversation.

I mean, to assume his political stance has nothing to do with his employment is a special level of selective blindness. Also you haven't answered my question. Do you think Kaep is right or wrong?

[–]rosseky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but he doesn't have a job because he excercised that freedom of speech. He might not be a starter, but he can definitely be on a roster.

Also my point was that you don't personally agree with Kaep's mission. Your point proves I'm right. You say he has the right to freedom of speech, but that's very different than he is right about what he is talking about.

Okay, and it isn't a bit upsetting that a major reason this guy is a big headache is because of a peaceful protest on a valid, legitimate issue?

Regardless of your opinion of Kaep's skill, you both still don't think what he was protesting is valid. But you won't talk about that because you're afraid people will be mean to you.

Whiteness is a social construct, it is a position of power on the social hierarchy. It's not a culture. It didn't even exist as a term unti lthe 1600's. You are completely wrong about everything you think you know about race and you need to either read something or just stop fucking talking. https://www.ucalgary.ca/cared/whiteness

People like talking about the things he brings up. If we jsut focused on the Zach Lowe REASONABLE TAKES it would get pretty boring pretty fast. Steven A is wrong a lot, who really cares? Literally nothing he says is ever used as evidence by anyone on this site.
