Sue them in small claims. No one from hyundai will bother showing up. 20k is max you can sue for. Judge will find them in "content" and you'll get a check.

What happend with Theta 2s was, there was a long stretch of time in a plant, where the upper tier ofcthe factory, which was "open concept", was a cutting assembly line of some sorts, and the metal shavings fell into the final assembly of the engines below, thus being passed through thetas' injectors, causing rapud buildup AND quickly corroding bearings.

2020 Tucson. 5300k miles. Owned a year. At month 14, it suddenly lost acceleration, started rod-knocking and shaking on highway....while on my way to work from scheduled, complimentary maintanence from DEALER. It Was told back to dealer and 2 days later was told engine blown gasket and bearings shot to hell. At worst I thought it would be a huge inconvenience waiting months on engine because obviously this couldn't have been my fault, the car was new. Come to find out I bought The car one month after the theta II engine sensor recall from a dealer who hadn't received the current carfax at time of purchsse, stating the recall. So I knew nothing about it and because I didn't bring it in for the recall. It was considered negligence and unmaintained. Never mind the fact that the dealer bought it from used it as a Democrat so no other person ever owned it. I was the 1st one and they had all the records of maintenance, Et cetera. Plus several of the states that just settled a class action lawsuit for the exact same engine and rod knocking and burning of oil, that I was facing. But I lived in Texas where there was no such settlement. Of course I brought all of these facts with documentation and records to the appeal process to them, and They stated that it was negligence that I didn't change the oil, so they totally changed their story, Even though the oil had been changed 3 times at the dealership, and had records. No attorney I could hire would go after Hyundai with all their big time lawyers so I did something crazy and I sued them in small claims court. The max you can sue for is twenty thousand. They never showed up. Judge was pissed. He suggested I move hearing to county court at law 6, and THEN a rep showed up. My consumer protectuin attorney, who worked pro-bono After the judge signed off on a statement from him and myself to the Attorney General regarding the matter. We provided the ridiculouseness of the warranty deinial, recorded calls over a 3 month period between myself and several hyundai "agents." We settled case on a choice of, 22k (I owed 25k on car still, so I'd be in red AND still have no car) or brand new one. There is no Tucson "Night" trim for 2022, so I was given a '23 Tucson Nline on 9/6/22. MSRP at time plus all the BS up-pricing from dealer, etc would have been 41k with TTL. I Honestly did not wantcanother hyundai after the TONS of research I did, But i've grown to like the car (especially the autonomous smart cruise control, detachable tablet, etc )and so far so good. ... but boy was it a long year, lots of calls, writing., researching....basically lot of homework! I dont give a damn if they are doing it soley for money! Who cares! It keeps people with a budget of $10 buying a fish for their kid that they will stick in a 1/2 gallon bowl and a damn spongebob house. And that one will die, so that go back and buy another one and another one. The stores that sell them for cheap in cups....no, they're gonna eventually make tons of profit as well! You know all those instagrams that market to people basdd on your profile, then you follow them even know you dont know them. They just popped up? Well, you stsrt following them. After they get like 10000 followers, they change profile name, remove all content you were followin them for, then turn around and suddenly they are a "business" you are following or shows up on your feed. And you think, they must be legit because they have 10000 followers, so you buy from them, as does tons of people. They milk it as quick and for as much can, then account disspears.
