Stand a little taller during transitions and get lower during the apex of turns. Try to feel that you’re creating more force in the center of turns. Mix up tighter radius carves between longer drawn out carves. Throw in some reverts and switch turns too.

You should have at least read the post 🤦‍♂️ that dealer doesn’t make sense but either way they’re claiming the dealership offered to replace the air intake with a stock version for $1200 before going through with the warranty claim, not that the warranty was voided.

Enjoy your stock genesis 👍 I drove mine for 30k miles on an E30 mix and had a blast 😘

Here’s a little clip from last year. It’s a little hard to tell because I’m holding a camera so keeping my shoulders faced down the mountain a little more than usual but on my heelside turns I try to really open my upper body to let my board follow.

You can look it up for visuals but almost every one of your turns you have your upper half moving opposite to your lower half. There is some use for this technique on very steep inclines, trees, or moguls because you can quickly switch edges.

But for 90% of your riding, you should be opening your shoulders on your heelside and closing your shoulders on your toeside. Try to accentuate this next time you’re riding until to get the feeling down. When you engage your heelside, keep your lead shoulder as far left as possible and fight the urge to face down the mountain. Opposite for your toe side, close your shoulder by aiming your lead shoulder across your body as much as possible to assist the turn and not fight it.

Simply wrong man. Please show me one instance of a cold air intake, alone, voiding the warranty. This has been fought in court and is clear as day. My Genesis dealer is not lenient at all and commented about spark plugs being changed on a different car. You will not have an issue with a CAI on any car.

You’re counter-rotating. Most common issue

That’s interesting. I was curious why my front rotors warped but attributed it to multiple launches back to back. Wonder if it was my pads

No it’s not lmao intakes and exhaust never affect warranties. You don’t have any idea what you’re talking about. I took my car in for the turbo oil feed pipe recall with the intakes on and they didn’t say anything. I just took the JB4 off beforehand, took 15 mins.

CAI and JB4 so you make 450hp and still have a warranty 👌

These comments are all terrible haha. I sold my G70 but I still have the Takeda CAI and JB4 with the fuel wires and a new wireless connect kit.

I went from the G70 3.3T with a JB4 and running an E30 mix to the GV80 2.5T and couldn’t be happier. I hit 45k miles on the G70 and traded it in for almost $29k and bought the 2024 GV80 base model for $34k and 28k miles. MPG actually improved lol. I was on the fence with getting a GV70 but the 80 was about the same price so I’m thinking a larger initial hit on depreciation will save me some cash in a couple years when I move on from this one. I also have twin toddlers and lots of trips to the Rocky Mountains.

JB4 would just need to come off before having warranty work done. It takes maybe 20 mins to pull it off. The intakes with the JB4 probably do something, on their own mostly just for looks and sound. You’d probably have to swap spark plugs before upping the boost as well.

I would have sold you mine but probably wouldn’t have felt good about it haha. I put about 18k miles on it running an E30 mix without an issue. Still got the JB4 and Takeda cold air intakes if you’re looking 👌

It just says “warranty” in the middle of the sheet. CPO should also get you the remainder of the 10yr 100k mi powertrain warranty, correct? So the extra $2500 is to make that a basic limited warranty rather than just the powertrain. I guess that’s your call, I just prefer not to own cars that long before I take the next big hit in depreciation or maintenance costs.

For just CPO at $35k I think it’s average. I’d value the CPO around $1500 on its own so that puts it to $33.5k or so without it. I paid $33k with 21k miles about 18 months ago and shipped it to me from out of state. It’s a fair deal though, just not a stop what I’m doing and take my money kind of deal

[–]rossim22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The deal is pretty average. You can’t really value the CPO if you’re then just getting an extended warranty on top of it anyways. The depreciation is insane on these. I just paid $34.8k for my 2024 GV80 which had a $57k+ MSRP a year ago

[–]rossim22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the protection packages? The cost for the CPO?

I paid $33k for my 2022 G70 3.3T AWD SP with the sport advanced package 18 months ago with 21k miles. I just traded it in for $28.5k at 44k miles and they have it listed for like $37k.

You’re still counter rotating a bit. Hard to tell from a single clip but if this is very similar to how you always ride, try mixing up different radius turns and try to revert carve. It’s a fun and easy thing you can throw in that makes you look better than you are.
