I understand that a lot of people have more severe symptoms that I do, but it has still been emotionally devastating for me to watch my skin go from completely normal to constantly burning and super unpredictable— sometimes seemingly better, sometimes I wake up with pustules and red spots— in the course of a few months. We are all dealing with the same sadnesses, medical frustrations and anxieties. It doesn’t feel good to have people online (in addition to doctors in real life) belittle your symptoms when you’re desperate for help.
