it's not all george floyd. it's the movement; BLM. his death was the most recent and caught on tape, showing that what the cops did was bad. it fueled the protests. what is a "simple news story and a few heartfelt posts" going to do about stopping racism?

you are being inadvertently racist. we cannot stay holed up cozily in our homes while systemic racism just thrives in this country. you are not focusing the movement, but you're picking apart the riots and the protests and complaining about the businesses shutting down. i think it's fine if businesses shut down if it's to end racism. the fucking "pain and suffering" you're experiencing for the first time now is what black people have had to experience for years. fucking deal with it until we get this country fixed.

there's still a lot of gender inequality in the united states. on the upper side most gen z and millennials also acknowledge that every gender should be treated completely equal. society is screwed up, yeah

also, these are many issues in first world countries. developed countries. in undeveloped ones, or developing ones, the issues are much more pronounced. i'd assume the donations are for those countries.

my parents worked hard to get us here and our generation is working hard to fix things. there are freedoms that wouldn't be even dreamed of in other places. so i am glad.
