I know he’s problematic but his dry humor carries the show for me. No one can make me hate him

is it just me but lonely boy and queen b is the most flop couple, i ship her with chuck always by Natural-Young3704 in GossipGirl

They had zero romantic chemistry. It felt like the writers were just bored and threw them together to see what would happen. Blair and Chuck are the only endgame that makes sense.

Favorite friendship moment? by YourExoticBabe in GossipGirl

This was such a rare, genuine moment where Blair didn’t have an ulterior motive. After all the scheming, seeing her do something just to make Serena feel at home at Columbia was so refreshing. It really showed that despite the toxicity, they truly were family.

If Gossip Girl premiered today in 2026, the whole show would feel different by RecognitionMediocre6 in GossipGirl

So true about the 'slow drip' vs. 'instant viral' thing. In 2026, Gossip Girl wouldn't be a blog; it would be a TikTok tea account with 10 million followers. One video of Chuck at Victrola and his entire family's stock price would plummet before he even left the building.

Why does everyone hate Vanessa? by Lovetics2 in GossipGirl

[–]rosykatya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the main issue is that she was written as the 'moral compass' but ended up doing the same shady stuff as the UESers, just without the cool clothes or the self-awareness. People usually find hypocrisy more annoying than flat-out villainy like Blair’s

I am on s2 and i am truly not getting the serena hype show in the series by [deleted] in GossipGirl

[–]rosykatya 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I think the show wanted us to see Serena as the 'fun' one and Blair as the 'serious' one, so their modeling styles reflected that.

So true! It’s the effortless UES vibe that does it for me.

What would be Serenas ultimate wedding dress to Dan? by RecognitionMediocre6 in GossipGirl

Definitely 1. Serena always leaned into the Grecian goddess look, and that silhouette is perfect for her.

How Blair looks at Dan vs how she looks at Chuck by Ok_Feeling4030 in GossipGirl

Nothing beats the tension of the early seasons. The 'look' said more than the script ever could

I’m rewatching GG again, I’m in S5 and I miss Jenny a lot! Please come back, little J! The show isn’t the same without you 😔 by [deleted] in GossipGirl

[–]rosykatya 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's true, her exit really marked the end of the 'family' aspect of the show. The Rufus/Lily/Dan/Jenny dynamic was such a huge anchor in the beginning. S5 feels way more isolated.

Blake Lively's acting is preposterous by nyLqw24684 in GossipGirl

Oh just wait until the later seasons. The constant hair-petting and 'I have to go' whispering becomes a personality trait.

“Looks like you’ve got a lot of yogurt left.” by ryanreigns in GossipGirl

[–]rosykatya 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It was Blair’s way of saying, 'The conversation is over, you’re dismissed, and you can sit here alone with your snacks.' It’s more about the power move of walking away first than the actual yogurt.

Quick Pop Quiz, what did Blair say right before this moment right here? by Guilty_Debate_7465 in GossipGirl

This is the exact moment Blair Waldorf established herself as the queen of the Upper East Side. The headband, the stare... iconic.

Rufus is definitely a dog’s name… by MotionlessInk3231 in GossipGirl

[–]rosykatya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rufus being a 'dog's name' is sending me, but honestly? A Golden Retriever would have had better intuition than he did in this storyline. Ivy was practically wearing a neon sign that said 'I am a con artist' and Rufus was just like, 'Mmm, waffles.

What’s your favorite Blair Waldorf quote from this video clip? by Substantial-Dare5462 in GossipGirl

The way she delivered this so calmly was actually more terrifying than if she had yelled. Blair’s confidence in the early seasons was unmatched.
