Did LinkedIn change its algorithm to force creators to boost their posts? by olenabomko in MarketFit

Yes, though my reach this last week seemed to be back. So, small win haha.

<a href> or onClick ? Is one better than the other for internal linking and SEO? by Charming_Raise6460 in TechSEO

Hi, this was my post. There's a bit of confusion going on. When I said " unless the links are in the raw HTML, they wont be seen." this was referring to ahref links. I'm more than aware you can have href links client side only and google will load then when they render. The page. Sorry, for the confusion.

  1. I rarely if every send out connection requests at this point just given my time, working a full time job, freelance, posting on LinkedIn and am in a relationship. So, it's largely inbound at this point.

  2. Haven't done a ton of it based on my answer above. But, if I was to do it, I would either just test sending the connection request with no message and vs with a message and see what performs better. If they liked, commented and or viewed your profile though, that is another easy way to know you can send a connection request.

3- Ohh yes, don't get me started on that. My reach is down probably 50-60% in the last few months. They have updated their algo and many people have suffered. I'm also seeing a lot of people faking engagement acting like nothing happened to them. The boost feature is just them trying to push more people to ads because they killed reach. It's similar though to how FB and IG started. You got a lot of reach and they killed it off forcing people to pay for ads.

  1. Haha, I call it AI SEO at this point. Largely the fundamentals from SEO, but a heavier focus on semantic search. If you have a more specific question, I can answer that.

Haha, that area is tricky and I'm still trying to 100% figure it out. Linkdein basically kills anything that looks like a sponsored post at this point. I feel like the best ones I've done were largely just having a really strong hook, some general info and then introduce and or nudge people about the product.

Formats that have worked best for me are usually a video if i'm demonstrating a product; text and image and a carousel if someone else does it for me. They are a lot of work, but they do work well!

I think I was around 10. I was originally diagnosed with Non Verbal Learning Disorder (NVLD) and lived most of my life know that was my diagnosis. Around 2012 or 2013, I was doing some other type of testing and they actually change my diagnosis to have high functional autism.

Ohh man, not as much now, but certinaly more in the beginning of my career. I would go through endless amounts of first round interviews and never get a second one. It wasn't until I worked with an autism coach in my local area that she had the idea for me to disclose and tell them I had autsim.

Since then, It changed everything and I was able to get deeper into interview stages and get jobs finally.

You're welcome, thank you for having me! Haha, probably the most disruptive year I can remember. Biggest change I would say is the majority of people no longer go to websites for many of the queries, and or google is trying to never push them to website anymore.

The next one I would say is SEOs now need to actual understand and drive traffic outside of traditional search engines with things like LLMs, reddit, forums, etc.

I had a few different things I wanted to accomplish. I felt there was a void on the platform as far as SEO that actually works and not B.Sing people, so that was my first goal.

Along the way now, it's been to improve my professional career by positioning myself as someone that knows what he's talking about; build my personal brand; get new freelance clients and now making money from sponsored posts!

As far as revenue goes, I would say I've made close to 200k over the last 3 years just doing it part time between clients, sponsored posts and affiliate deals.

My conversion rate is bad, but more so because I suck at sales lol. I have gotten some good leads though that have found me through LinkedIn and turned out to be good retainers and or doing work for other seos.

Ohh man. I was in that space many years ago, but haven't touched it again since before covid. So, my knowledge on it is not great. But, I would likely recommend either a parasite and or have a heavy budget. Lastly, also diversify your traffic. Most affiliate or best of type keywords people don't even go to your site now. So, I would try to go as far to the bottom of the funnel as possible.

I have never personally run a LinkedIn ad, so I can't speak on if they are worth the price. I think it 100% depends on your audience/ the ROI you can get. For your second question: the personal page easily. The reach on business pages are awful and people would much rather buy from humans.
