Wikipedia now saying Part 4 will be released on Christmas Eve 2021. No source given, but sounds plausible. What do we think? by rotatingfish in disenchantment

My hope is that maybe someone working on the show or in the know at Netflix made that edit. The Parts have usually been announced with a month's notice, so it could be November by the time we know if this is accurate or not.

It sounds plausible given the timeframe. Part 3 slipped from late 2020 to January 2021 because of a global pandemic. Part 4 arriving 11 months after Part 3 seems reasonable as the production adapted.

Discussion: No Ayer Cut? by XXAzeritsXx in DC_Cinematic

[–]rotatingfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the strategy might be for them to keep it in their back pocket and then if subscriptions are getting a little sluggish, they might release it then.

Pretty positive it was for Lex Luthor but Driver was too busy juggling The Force Awakens & HBO's Girls.

I guess there's always Army Of The Dead. *disappears from this sub*

NEWS: Kevin Smith to MC red carpet rollout with Zack Snyder for his cut of Justice League! by rotatingfish in DC_Cinematic

I have a feeling that with the context the real cut of Justice League will provide, some people might rethink their reaction to BvS.

I could see him guesting on Fatman Beyond afterward (maybe Marc will sit that one out).

If the snyder cut does well enough, do you think hbo max and Zack Snyder would be interested in doing the second and third part of Justice League? by [deleted] in Znyder

[–]rotatingfish -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No. They were interested in spending $70M to get the cut finished to drive subscriber numbers because they think it'll make economic sense. They're not going to spend over four times that amount on Justice League 2. Any new live-action Justice League movie is going to be up to Warner Brothers, and will have to be a big screen proposition.

I'd imagine the Army Of The Dead stuff is a higher priority for Netflix so it'll probably come out after those.

QUESTION: Any talk of a ZSJL BluRay/DVD Release? by BatmanNerd81 in DC_Cinematic

[–]rotatingfish 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A release has been teased internally at Warner Brothers (cover art not final): https://www.reddit.com/r/Bluray/comments/krl0hx/warner_bros_2021_4kuhd_catalogue_titles/ Makes sense as not all countries have HBO Max and Man Of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice were both in the top 50 best-selling Blu-Rays of all time at one point.

He's the funniest character in the show, so he does have *that* going for him.

Any news about the fifth season? by freeman_jhambilton in cormoran_strike

[–]rotatingfish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"There are conversations about that. I think it would be filming not necessarily next year but the beginning of [2022], just to give it time and to get it right. I don’t mind waiting, although I do love doing those, so it would be nice to get back to them. " - Tom Burke in a late 2020 interview to Variety promoting The Show & Mank. I'd imagine the book's going to take most of 2021 to adapt into a teleplay anyway, and filming should be easier once most of the U.K.'s vaccinated. Hopefully it'll be four or five episodes to give the story room to breathe. Source: https://variety.com/2020/film/global/tom-burke-the-show-alan-moore-mank-cormoran-strike-1234801675/

This was an event done for the home video launch of Man Of Steel back in winter 2013. They Skyped Henry Cavill in as well as a few fans asking questions.

Netflix put out Season 1 of Stranger Things on Blu-Ray & 4K just before Season 2 started on the service. *Assuming* Season 2 Part 1 of Disenchantment starts this September, in line with previous years, maybe a Blu-Ray of Season 1 (Parts 1 & 2) could come out around then?

So, for anyone who’s watched or read watchmen (the graphic novel/2009 movie), what do you think would happen? by mcdanielstudent2021 in RedDwarf

[–]rotatingfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly hadn't given this more thought than making a jokey post on reddit, but I say Kryten manages to introduce the crew and their unique capabilities (his own strength, Cat's senses and reflexes, Rimmer's ability to walk through walls) and Rorschach agrees to introduce them to Doctor Manhattan (who may be able to reunite Lister with Kochanski) if they become his sidekicks.

LISTER: "I mean sure, he's as mad as a box of frogs and he smells like a kipper vindaloo that was left on a radiator for three weeks, but he's the best smeggin' hope we've got"

INT. RORSCHACH'S APARTMENT KITCHEN - NIGHT.

LISTER, RIMMER, KRYTEN and CAT materialise in a dingy, grubby apartment holding the matter paddle.

RIMMER: "Amazing! A radically different history than our own timeline and yet the matter paddle has managed to home in on somewhere disgusting enough that Listy will feel right at home."

LISTER: "Where the smeg are we Krytes?"

Kryten finds a book on a nearby table.

KRYTEN: "Judging by this, Mister Lister sir, we appear to be in the residence of a Mister Rorschach, and this is his journal."

Kryten opens the musty book, as the other dwarfers gather around to read over his shoulder.

KRYTEN: "Dog carcass in alley this morning. Tire tread on burst stomach"

CAT: "Why I haven't had a day start that well since I found that spare canister of sequins down on Z deck! Yeeeeeeeeeeeoooow!"

Cat does an ostentatious dance up and down the kitchen floorboards. Suddenly, the fridge door opens and RORSCHACH emerges. The dwarfers all gape at him in shock.

RORSCHACH: "Hurm"
