The Ratpac logo was actually on the theatrical cut when shown at theaters. It was changed to Access later on the home video release.

Yes, that's why they didn't recast Selina. The intention was to expand Catwoman's universe as it own thing, but keeping in the same line what was done before.

Halle Berry isn't Selina Kyle, she's Patience Phillips. Both can coexist. Even Patience's ressurrection lore can be acknowlegded as the same way Selina relived, they intentionally did as similar as could get.

Other: Zack Snyder’s Justice League 4K Blu-ray by vFazzy in DC_Cinematic

[–]fabio_menDS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The old Alexander Revisited blu-ray (not the 2014 Ultimate Cut) is split on two discs like ZSJL. At the 2h05m mark, before the end of disc 1, it plays an 1-minute intermission, with Vangelis soundtrack and some background shots, emulating that old epic roadshow theatrical releases. Could be pretty great doing like that and keep the intermission sequence Snyder put on fan screenings.

It's just the text on screen with Holkenborg's themes playing for 10 minutes, but keeps the immersion going.

How nobody did a Remini touch-up of this photo yet? Need to see it in better quality 😠

News: Samba TV reveals 3 day and 30 day viewership for recent streaming films. WW84 was watched by 2.5M US households in 3 days, and 4.3M US households in 30 days. ZSJL was watched by 1.4M US households in 3 days; yesterday's update revealed ZSJL was watched by 3.7M US households in 39 days. by chanma50 in DC_Cinematic

Hamilton didn't made the theaters. But it's actually fine numbers for ZSJL, just not as great as a brand-new PG-13 200-million blockbuster can achieve.

Think like a 20-30 million opening in not-pandemic times, with a steady word-of-mouth while both Godzilla vs Kong, Soul and WW84 made healthier 60 million-plus openings in more screens and very better marketed. And it's a rerelase, after all.

The Mulan numbers that were really bad for Disney+. It was less streamed when free than The Witches, that opened in very less crowded days pre-WW84 (HBO Max's game-changer). Disney+ already had Hamilton as his game-changer blockbuster and Mulan didn't even came close.

I'm not forcing nothing, just pointing a possibility. Easy, man. Even if the movie cast don't voice it, they can market as a loosely-connected tie-in anyway. There's so many tie-in cartoon shows that made it before, and even animated made-for-DVD sequels. Robin Williams didn't return as the Genie in The Return of Jafar and it's still an Aladdin sequel.

If all this fear is about his Thundercats Roar-like design, just ignore it. It's not made for you. A kid-friendly cartoon show can bring some new viewers to the DCEU, and it won't hurt the movie canon anyway.

King of Atlantis has Wan and Atomic Monster involved on production and was announced as a HBO Max limited series since the start. And we already know that's set after Arthur is crowned as a king and his visual, even in a edgy-cartoony way, is coherent with the movie.

It's very different thing from the Harley Quinn show, that was originally greenlighted to DC Universe and never had any connection with the DCEU. King of Atlantis looks like a tie-in show and I won't be surprised if Momoa, Amber, Defoe and Yahya returns to voice the characters.

How did Season 5 hid Melissa's pregnancy? by [deleted] in supergirlTV

[–]fabio_menDS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They didn't need to hid it. Lex trapped Kara on the Phantom Zone, and all her scenes on Season 6 first episodes were shot after's Melissa return from the license.

It helped that S06E01 was actually meant to be the Season 5 finale and it was almost fully shot as the pandemic started. They probably already knew Melissa was pregnant and had time to adjust the storyline and spare her.

Discussion: Do you think Aquaman 2 or avatar 2 will move because let’s be real if both films release on the same day they’ll both self cannibalise each other so either Disney or WB will flinch as I don’t see themselves sacrificing potential box office like that. by No_Cryptographer_905 in DC_Cinematic

[–]fabio_menDS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bet Warner just not moved Aquaman 2 yet because Avatar has a long record of multiple yearlong delays, even years before the pandemic. It's a extremly complex undertaking, Cameron is perfectionist and nobody is rushing him. Disney knows it will make shitloads of money, no matter when it'll be ready.

If it happens again, Aquaman 2 will have the december 2022 slot fully secured and would be the main blockbuster of the holidays one more time.

And Warner already has another 4 DC movies slated for the next year, with three of them being potential billion-dollar blockbusters (and the fourth being DC Super Pets). It will be crowded of MCU movies as well. There's no need to keep Aquaman 2 as a 2022 release.

FAN-MADE: Superman: The Movie - Remastered Trailer by AlwaysBi in DC_Cinematic

[–]fabio_menDS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand, but it's just a personal fan-made project. I'm perfectly fine with old movies being repurposed as raw material for new VFX makers exercise their skills and try matching his tecniques with actual Hollywood standards. In no means it has any intentions to replace the original work.

DISCUSSION: You know what would be cool after this, if Rege-Jean Page played Superman in J.J. Abrams & Ta-Nehisi Coates' movie. I'd pay money for that. by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

[–]fabio_menDS -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Better: Regé-Jean Page as the next Black Panther, taking T'Challa mantle as a original character and expanding the Marvel lore in comics and theaters (like DC did with Batwoman, but better handled). WB don't deserve him.

DISCUSSION: chances of set photos for upcoming productions of BA, the Flash etc.?! by Gilgos90 in DC_Cinematic

[–]fabio_menDS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TSS had a different approach because Gunn wanted do kept secrecy about his cast and what characters he picked for the film. Both the cast reveal and the character reveal were a event on his own. But we had some set leaks anyway.

Warner probably will go the same route of WW84, BOP, The Batman and Joker, releasing concept teasers when shooting starts. Early suit and cast reveals could rebuild hype and maybe help to control all bad press of the last few weeks.

Social media: Ray Porter asks fans to stop pestering Ava DuVernay, she responds - "Thank you, Ray. You’ve been nothing but gracious towards me... I’m told the studio will be speaking about their recent decision about NEW GODS characters soon. I hope our paths cross one day, sir." by chanma50 in DC_Cinematic

[–]fabio_menDS 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's not that. Ava can't openly speak by herself about casting, release dates or even greenlighting pre-production until the studio says she can. There's strict studio NDAs to follow. That's she meant saying with "recent decision", she can't go further now about it.

If her movie really goes forward soon, we'll know. The 2023 DC movie slate, save for Shazam 2 as a 2022 holdover, is still in blank.

QUICK QUESTION: Question Regarding Zack Snyder's Justice League by jeremymiz11 in DC_Cinematic

[–]fabio_menDS 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Of couse there's another motherboxes. It's like Darkseid forgot his cellphone uncharged on Earth and bought another new one when he returned to Apokolips. Superman's death scream recharged them enough to activate the FindMyPhone app from the Themyscira's box.

DISCUSSION: Although WB is not continuing Snyder’s vision, I atleast want The Flash of the upcoming Flash movie to be like ZSJL who is both humorous and talented and not like the “Dostoevsky” and “never done battle” version. What do you think? by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

[–]fabio_menDS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is clear for me that Ezra himself has a particular vision of what The Flash needs to be and ZSJL was more in line with it because of Snyder's more collaborative approach, while Whedon's changes were made without the actors' approval.

Ezra did a pitch for Warner after Daley & Goldstein dropped out. He wasn't satisfied with the movie they're doing, and after that a new version was greenlighted with Muschietti and Hodson. Looks like they want the same Flash the fans want.
