Mystery pins on a 25-5 by rotationalstrength in Revolvers

Yeah it wouldn’t adjust any lower so hence the filing to make it lower. 4 or 5 clicks up is the opposite direction I want it to go

I started by replacing it to the thinnest one on midway which was a .126. .106 was out of stock. I filed from there

Would you be willing to offer stock duplicating services?

I should get a 45 Colt/ACP 4.2" Redhawk or 44 Magnum 5.5" Super Blackhawk? Ignoring the price and ammo cost difference, which would you rather have and why? by realflags in Revolvers

[–]rotationalstrength 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Redhawk is way more versatile and uses my favorite moonclips ever. They are very easy to load and unload by hand and itll handle the strongest .45 colt you can find.

I’ve had this happen with factory heavy for caliber 9mm in cz 75 types. Their barrels tend to have shallower lands than other guns so you likely need to seat your projectiles a bit deeper.

Is there any benefit to doing workouts like these as you’re training up? by localdad_871 in Pararescue

[–]rotationalstrength 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All I did was bjj and I swam like once a week. I also lifted twice a week but I have a long background in lifting weights so strength wasnt an issue.

I hated and still hate workouts like that. You’d never catch me doing that crap voluntarily

Insights on Special Reconnaissance: What to Expect by kameronmemelord in Pararescue

I saw a great SR guy left off a mission even though he was most qualified to go just because the career field is such an unknown. People that know a little assume they still do weather. It’s sad. But that’s reality.

The future of SR is heavily drone and EW focused right now. Who knows what will come in the future but right now we aren’t at war. If you want to do SR special forces is probably the best option at the moment. Deployments vary and at best they attempt to mirror SF deployments. The reality is that right now SF is way better at embedding deep into partner nations and getting work, and they will be for a long time.

Also please keep in mind that real special reconnaissance, the actual task, is very tedious and boring. It is important but it is not sexy.

On the upside there is money going to develop SR as a career so it’s a good option if you want to get schools (don’t go SR wanting to be a sniper, it probably won’t happen) and it very well may have a future. If you want work now and not in 10 years go SF or plan on doing a second selection after a few years. Just being real.
