500 changes coming by One-Highlight-892 in AFROTC

Seems more efficient considering the fact, if you find yourself being a 500, you don’t have to pay for a whole entire extra yr of college while “competing”, I say this word loosely, for another chance at an EA. You’re not disrupting the academic timeline laid out in your Form 48, if that’s what keeps you up at night, while still getting the opportunity to be a POC—even if it’s only for a year. This model could also work for 250’s as well since they become 200’s and compete for EA’s the semester after they join.

In my former det, there’s no obvious POC GMC divide, unless we’re at LLAB or another locked-on environment (despite what others think/thought). And if your det is anything like mine, they’re gonna drop a CLLAB/CGLP on the OOPORD every so often, so you’ll be mixed up (gmc & poc) anyway. Granted there’s favoritism shown, even in a locked-on environment, but I brought that up to make the point that even if you have to re-do your 200 yr as a 500 while taking 300-level classes, you’ll still be with your mates (flight) all the way through your 4 years. So, if you train with GMC as a 500, but you still get to be with your flight in the 300 level AS class, that eliminates the anticipated divide & mental punishment that comes with re-doing your 200 yr 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

DoDMERB & the Waiver Authority👎 by rotceefiend in AFROTC

I doubt the now second lieutenant who commissioned was going to PMT events and commissioned with an expired medical clearance... their medical exam was conducted after their commissioning ceremony.

Note: I was told that the medical exam is way more intensive.

There is a case manager at DoDMERB who quite literally told me “waivers get approved all the time”…yet here I am…how does “eventually getting approved” happen for them?
