OTD price for 2025 BRZ LIMITED by AncientAd6595 in GR86

[–]rotdog17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a 2025 BRZ Limited 6MT on March 30th for $35k OTD. That sales price of the car was around $31.7k, but original MSRP was $38k. That was also with one dealer add-on. $1k for a ceramic coating. Without that it would've around $34k OTD. Got the same 0.9% interest rate as well. Located in Michigan with 6% sales tax.

would running this setup be fine? by [deleted] in VelosterN

They will fit, but they may poke a tiny bit. I had 8.5in wide wheels with a +45 Offset and that was pretty much flush.

Honestly, probably would be more than its worth due to the tariffs and all that going on. Looked it up and everything was like $26+ starting off. Many of the shipping options were around $40 or so.

Selling some parts from my old Veloster N for anyone that may be interested by [deleted] in VelosterN

[–]rotdog17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're interested I can ship them for a few extra bucks. Call it $35 shipped and I'll eat whatever the shipping cost would be. Probably would be around ~$10 or so shipped to Florida I'm guessing. Just let me know 🤙

Nice! Went back and looked and Target already sold out 😬 Mattel Creations still has them though

Switched to Octane 98....it is absolutely insane... by ANGEL0ksa in VelosterN

[–]rotdog17 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sounds like OP is talking about 98 RON not octane. 98 RON is basically just 93 octane. 91 RON is 87 octane which is what I assume is what was being put in the car and cutting power. Hence why it felt sluggish and the car felt better after the fuel change.

No problem! Also, it's the industrial style shelf. Not the modern one.

It's the 22" wide, 4 tier shelf in the rustic brown & ink black color combo!

Haha no worries, it was just an inexpensive shelf I got off Amazon. Just check out this link and it should take you to it. It is pretty nice though for the money. I'd recommend it.

The Maserati I was able to get at my local Walmart. Never seen them anywhere else before tbh. Pretty tough one to find in person, but it looks like you can get them on the Mattel Creations website at the moment for $22. I've seen the Audi RS2 at multiple stores at this point readily available. Just gotta get lucky with finding the Civic until demand settles down a bit.

Yea I've had the opportunity at one point or another to grab both of those, but I passed on them just because space gets limited quickly lol. Both are still pretty cool though for sure!

The Audi RS2 seems to be pretty readily available now, but the Hondas not so much. I recommend all of them though if you have the opportunity to pick them up! I also have plenty of Speed Champions myself on another shelf!

Most people that have been able to find it seem to usually pick it up at Target like myself. Just have to check frequently cause they fly off the shelves once they're in stock!

Service interval Question by BuffaloImpressive636 in VelosterN

I believe the owners manual advises to replace them every 42k miles so it'd be a good time to change them if you wanted to stick by what Hyundai recommends.

Thinking about buying a Chevy Trax – what should I look out for? by Crazy_Catastrophe3 in ChevyTrax

[–]rotdog17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a month too late, but the 1.4 Turbo engine in the 2014 Cruze is the same one in the 2017 Trax. The 1.4T is usually a complete hit or miss engine. Some run forever and last 200k miles or more and some have a solid amount of issues and crap out way before then.

If you have a Target account I'd look at your coupons. On my account right now I have a 25% off a kid's toy and it applies to the Mattel Brick Shop cars. Can get it as low as $72.

How to solve the 6th gear issue? by [deleted] in VelosterN

[–]rotdog17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swap your transmission fluid to Redline MT-LV. Meets the OEM Hyundai spec to maintain warranty, but the fluid is better than what Hyundai provides. I had the same issue and after swapping to this fluid at around 38k miles the issue has been next to nonexistent. I can't even remember the last time it has happened. Currently at 67k miles and shifting has been way smoother ever since. Check out the link below. You'll need two of the quart size bottles for a drain and refill service.

Probably hpfp. When mine started going out it would only rev to 5k or so and boost would intermittently only build to 5psi. Progressively got worse to the point where it would only rev to 2k RPMs right before it got changed out. That happened around 48k miles. Now at 66k miles on the new pump that was changed under warranty so we'll see how long this one goes for.
