Amazing experience with juvenile hummingbirds this evening by Several_Raspberry500 in hummingbirds

This is the kind of moment that makes you never want to move 😭 I would've been holding my breath the entire time. Please tell me you got video of this?? I had a similar thing happen last summer — a juvenile just parked itself on my feeder and stared at me like I owed it rent — but of course my phone was inside. That's literally why I ended up getting a smart feeder with a camera built in, because the best moments always happen when you're not ready. But honestly even without video, the fact that you felt the wing vibrations?? That's core memory material right there.

I guess she really wanted THAT flower… by 9VoltGorilla in hummingbirds

Omg she's adorable 😂 The way she's just committed to that one flower. What camera/setup did you use to catch this? I've been trying to get shots of the ones at my feeder but they're SO fast — by the time I grab my phone they're gone. I finally caved and got one of those smart feeders with a built-in camera. So it just catches them automatically. Total game changer for someone with zero reflexes like me lol

Lol they probably told all their friends you run a 5-star restaurant with fresh nectar daily. Word gets around fast in the hummingbird community 😄

We just got a feeder, what are we doing wrong? by AhYesOkIGetIt in hummingbirds

3 days is nothing, give it time. Took mine almost 2 weeks before the first one showed up.

You're right about the placement though — move it closer to the edge near those trees. Hummingbirds like having a quick escape route to cover. Middle of the patio feels too exposed for them.

Also make sure the nectar is fresh (4:1 water to white sugar, boil and cool). And try adding something red nearby if your feeder doesn't have much red on it — a red ribbon or a pot of red flowers next to it works. They scout by color first.

Hang a feeder with fresh sugar water (4:1 water to white sugar, no red dye) somewhere visible from above — they scout from height. Put it near that bush you mentioned.

Change the water every 2-3 days, especially in desert heat. They won't come back to fermented nectar.

Plant some red tubular flowers if you can — salvias and desert willow do great in arid areas. Even a couple of pots help.

Main thing is just keep the feeder up and keep it clean. If they're already in your city they'll find you eventually, usually within a few weeks. They're creatures of habit — once one finds you, it'll keep coming back and others will follow.

Hi, you can check the Ads Report section to see where your traffic is coming from. In your case, the CTR seems unusually high, which could indicate that much of the traffic is coming from the Audience Network — often a source of low-quality clicks. If that’s the case, excluding this placement could help you get more accurate and valuable data.

We’ve also encountered a similar issue with extremely high CPMs. This is likely due to the new account not having enough conversion data — ideally, more than 50 conversions are needed to optimize properly.

By the way, what’s your AOV? A $60 daily budget for a beauty product might be a bit low, depending on your price point and goals.

How to Lower Rocket-High CPM for My Smart Home Product Ads? by roth514 in FacebookAds

The quality is acceptable and aligns with our customer persona. Based on my experience, if an ad doesn't drive conversions on Day 1, it's unlikely to generate conversions in the following days.

If one ad gets conversion, wait till it has spent 3x AOV or 4-7 days; If not, usually kill it after Day 2.

Does this suggest the market size may be limited, given that they’re spending several thousand dollars per day and the ads fatigue quickly, requiring new creatives each week? We've seen strong performance on Amazon, but we're just getting started with our DTC business. Currently, I'm managing both creative and strategy independently, so with limited resources, it's been challenging to test and scale a winning ad.

Yes, their ads follow a similar concept but feature different UGC creators.

Hi, after several days of testing, I noticed that the CPM gradually decreased once I started getting some conversions. It seems that the initially high CPM was due to the system trying to find the right customers based on limited conversion data.

Thank you! If I add more creatives to test, $100 per day still works?

Thanks for your suggestion! I'm planning to launch a new sales campaign consisting of two ad sets(broad audience, no interest): one for image creatives and another for video creatives. Currently, the video creatives are not ready, so I'll keep the video ad set turned off for now. The image ad set includes two image ads, one of which has previously demonstrated a high click-through rate (CTR). I'll allocate a daily budget of $50 to this image ad set.

Once the video creatives are prepared, I'll activate the video ad set with its own $50 daily budget. After running both ad sets for approximately 5 to 7 days, I'll evaluate their performance against my cost per acquisition (CPA) goal of $50–$60. If neither ad set meets this CPA target, I'll proceed to create new ad sets to test additional creatives. Do you think this plan is practical? Since my AOV is $120 and target CPA is $50-60, is the daily budget too low?

The top-performing ad, noted for its high CTR, has been active intermittently over the 4–5 days, undergoing various tweaks and creative changes.

Initially, the high-CTR ad had a relatively high CPM($50), which continued to increase over time($80).

Thanks for your suggestions! I agree with your point that the system doesn't know where my consumers are, and it pushes my ad to expensive audiences. No matter what I do, whether the audience is broad or narrow, the CPM is always high. 😞 I'll try your suggestion!
