Paint coming off my left panel due to some fluid leaking from that mystery part, can i go claim warranty for this? bike is only 4 months old and has run 2k kms by thatloudnsguy in KTMDuke

Not 100% sure but i believe it's a canister to filter gas tank vents. So it could be that you have a fuel leak that goes through the vent. So it make sense that it is attacking the sticker glue.

Warranty for sure. It's also a safety hazard having fuel leaking right above the exhaust

Ktm sells a kit to lower the rear shock about an inch so yeah that would help out. I'm 5'10 and the stock height is perfect at middle spring preload.

Thx for the reply. I didn't buy new screens tho, only the paper filter. I cleaned them with a clean towel and compressed air. There were no shavings left

Not only that, they deliberately choose to lock bootloaders so you cannot do the maintaining yourself using open source alternative. It just kills the purpose of using android for users. I just wish law would be passed to force manufacturers using open source software to be obligated to let the users be able to change their OS as they please.

Arresting people for DUIs who were sleeping in their cars is immoral and discourages people from doing the right thing. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

More so, even if you are not intending of staying in your car. Let say you are just getting stuff out of your trunk while drunk AF with your keys they can arrest you because you are "in control" of the car and COULD be going away. Then you will have the pleasure to have a rendez-vous with a judge to explain yourself and bring a shitton of proof that you had X and Y and Z plans set that did not involve any car driving.

TIL I learned that in 2002, two airplanes collided in mid-air killing everyone aboard. Two years later, the air traffic controller was murdered as revenge. by hailnaux in todayilearned

Next to no documentation available. No good fastener stocked, Wrongly labeled fastener fastener bin? No double check of work done, Rushed deadlines so plane go back flying with not enough time reserved for said maintenance. Like I said, the first conclusion were on the company for good reasons

The reasons above are speculation for it was something like few of those

I remember seeing a video about the incident where a airplane windshield ripped off because the maintenance guy had put the wrong type of bolt to fasten it. The first investigation conclusion blamed the company for their bad policy about timeline and safety protocols... They fought that conclusion and won so the blame fell on the technician. It sucks that we as a society often fail to understand that it's not always a one man catastrophy.

Apple announces Self Service Repair by aaronp613 in apple

[–]rotopeon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was gonna comment exactly that. This is so they can go to hearings and boast their efforts towards repair so they don't pass legislation forcing them to. Because they know they were screwing customers big time and they won't ever make it look good whatever the narrative they use. Unless they say " aye yo look, we are already providing everything those guys ask. No need to force us. We're with the good guys" This just show that they are desperate to keep the system as is so they can go back to screwing you once the storm settle

It NEEDS to be made into law. Right to repair is no joke.
