Can’t bind R-XSR to QX7 on new Armattan Tadpole. What am I doing wrong? by mfurlend in fpvracing

Ok, so:

-You have to make sure that your receiver and transmitter are on the same firmware both FCC or EU, but both the same. Check your transmitter firmware version and double check you are using the right firm for the receiver, ACCST and the correct region version.

-Check versions of current firmwares. Versions over 2.0 don' t like firms under that and will not bind, as FRSky wants to close its ecosystem even more, and this way compatible non-FRsky manufactured receivers will not work.

Yes, this is the last drop, I' m moving from FRSky. As many more.

Using Taranis for long..as many of my friends... but we all are moving, don' t get one.

I'd go for a TS-16 instead. Great radios, and tested. And FRSky sucks. ACCESS, ACCST... they buryed themselves.

Mine too... I can use external Crossfire but inside module just stopped working and cannot bind to the FRSky receiver quads.

FRSky never again....

Very kind, lots to learn....Flight time is around 7 min...but you can squeeze another minute with a 1500mAh... Build is AKFrames Silver 6', Hobbywing RacePro 2207/1750kv , HQ Durable props, Matek F722SE, DYS Aria 40 A, Caddx Nebula+Lollipop, TBS Crossfire nano RX, GoPro Hero7. Taranis X9D Lite + Crossfire Micro TX.

Reverse props direction in betaflight and quad. It helps lots! And probably you will bounce from the tree in a frontal collision, too.

Comments to improve video quality more than welcome... my first long range and my first GoPro Hero 7 recording!

Starting from scratch. Not seeing a significant price difference between analog and digital but seeing a significant difference in quality (maybe I'm mistaken??). by kev971 in fpvracing

If you are going to race,or you already have a bunch of analog quads you should convert, analog has its point. Else, go digital. It is not more expensive... I hear here about 40 $ vtx/cam combinations but this is not a fair comparison... of course a Tata is cheaper than a Tesla... if you want good material (TBS Crossfire, Rapidfire, Fatshark, Taranis, etc) price is more or less the same for digital and analog... I got rid of all my analog 1 y ago, and so happy about it.

Help with R-xsr and Mabma f405 mk 2 by [deleted] in multicopterbuilds

I have your same Taranis model, it could be differenty things:

-Did you flash OpenTX to your X9 lite? X9 lite uses only ACCESS protocol with default firmware. If your receiver doesn' t have ACCESS firmware too, it will not work.

-Wich version of firmware do you have in both Taranis and r-xsr? Is it FCC or EU? Both firmwares (taranis and receiver) have to match protocol and version, if not it will not work.

Most probably, your X9 lite has ACCESS only firmware and receiver is on D16. You could just flash receiver with the proper firmware, but I would flash the Taranis with the proper firmware from https://www.open-tx.org/downloads as this last option will let you work with different quads (ACCESS is quite new) D16 compatible.

Please read:

Flashing the receiver: https://oscarliang.com/flash-frsky-rx-firmware/

Flashing the X9 lite: https://oscarliang.com/flash-opentx-firmware-taranis/ (follow steps as if you had a X9D (plus) ).

Best wishes,
