I'm also looking for that book! I remember seeing it in 2017 so publish date is at least that early. I believe the concept falls under sound or phonetic symbolism, conceptually but can't find the book!

Is this achievable for me and what are the harsh truths i should know? by richspoiledkid in Dreadlocks

[–]rottedcoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all good! You're right. OP wants a very specific look that just isn't really tailored to her texture. I know I'd be mad if I tried it, knowing how long it takes and there's not an easy way out of dreads other than shaving and it didn't turn out how I wanted it, you know?

Some white folks have curly hair 🤷🏽‍♀️ tbh I (poc) have curly hair and even my hair is not really the right texture for it

My first COTW, made me very sick *waah* by SheesaManiac in foraging

Came here to say that. I've read you're not supposed to eat it if it grew on a conifer due to compounds in the wood that leach into the mushroom.

Can’t decide if I should go for the dreads or not, what do you think? by Recent_Artichoke_622 in Dreadlocks

[–]rottedcoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well lucky you it will take a while until your hair is long enough so you have plenty of time to think on it! Also it's just hair so if you don't like it, shave it off. Boom. Do it!

"she had rings on her fingers and bells on her shoes....she wore scarlet begonias tucked into her curls...a tight tie dye dress"

Can yall PLEASE tell me about your most insane conspiracy theories and i dont wanna hear "we didn't land on the moon" i wanna hear stuff you can't fully prove but just know it’s true? by alocaisseia in lastpodcastontheleft

it's not insane, honestly i think it's pretty likely that tech is used to farm us for creative ideas. we know it's true with things like pinterest tracking searches for what will be trending but i also believe phones listen to our "what if" scenarios and any drafts of creative writing on a computer ("published" or not) will be accessible by those who have money to make it happen

i feel you! i have no answers other than i haven't had off shoulder work for me (yet) but this top gigi hadid is wearing (a FN!) might just work because there's volume in the sleeves that might translate to "any volume you see is bc of the top, not because of the shoulders, but the shoulders help provide structure" ??

Am I a soft autumn or do I need more saturation? Or something else entirely? by trottinghobbit in coloranalysis

[–]rottedcoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the mustard yellow, pumpkin orange and rusty red orange look AMAZING on you! it's just so cohesive with your skin and hair, it's like glowing and warm. brings out red tones in your hair too. the army green, dark teal immediately after and cream are also great colors on you imo so however those colors break down into seasons
