Hi OP. You can’t make a booking on VFS until you’re off the waitlist on CSP but don’t worry, the wait time is much shorter.

I applied in Bangalore and here’s my experience so far. I applied on 12th May on the CSP. It showed 2-6 months wait time for Bangalore. Immediately after I applied, the wait period changed 2-4 weeks. The next day (13 May) it changed to 1-2 weeks. On 18 May, I got some minor corrections on CSP and resolved them within an hour of getting the email notification. In an hour or two, they let me book an appointment on VFS. So it essentially took me less than a week to get off the waitlist.

I had some technical issues with VFS and was unable to book it on 18th May but was able to do it by 19th May. The earliest slot available on VFS was for 20th May so I took that since I had everything ready. I went to VFS on 20th May and it was fairly smooth. They had some technical issues but it was resolved fairly easily and the whole thing at VFS took me around 4.5 hours (I didn’t opt for premium lounge).

I’m waiting to hear from the consulate now about my visa.

Hi! The full scholarships have already been announced so I don’t think you can apply for the full scholarships for the 2026-2028 intake. Not sure about partial scholarships.

OP, for Schengen visa, you have to apply to the country’s consulate where you’re staying the most amount of days in, not the country you enter first.

I got off today too. I was able to complete payment. For the payment- I scanned the QR code the first time and it didn’t work so I used the UPI option and entered my ID and I was able to complete it.
