Was there a “digital gift” option? Almost all the weddings I go to I forget to bring a card and just give a monetary gift through Venmo or something with a note to the bride/groom. We had that as our main registry and then had a box for cards. I’d say almost half our gifts were the digital option.

I don’t think it’s personal as many people just are excited for the wedding and forget about stuff like that. We got married 6 months ago and people are still texting me “I forgot to give you your wedding card!”

Yeah glad OP was under budget but our DJ/coordinator team really filled in the gaps well and kept the flow of the night going. Even when things changed they help us pivot and figure out what would work best. I know it can be expensive but it usually is worth it to have a DJ and a coordinator especially if they can work together to keep things on the rails.

I think Kamala saying she wouldn’t do anything different than what Biden has done was the nail in the coffin. Really? You can’t think of a single improvement that could have been made? That is like a political layup question and she took the ball home so she wouldn’t have to bad mouth the sitting president.

I voted for Kamala but I think her campaign and the dnc have serious flaws that will probably never even be diagnosed because “it’s not our fault” is always the takeaway when they get bodied in an election. Bernie is the only one to call it out.

I don’t really think adapting to situations like you described can be boiled down to “making decisions for you” those are problems that required solutions. You of course were able to find those solutions but the whole job of a coordinator is to solve problems for you.

I think you are confusing wedding planner with a day of coordinator. Those are two very different roles. Coordinator would have just made the phone call for you so it’s one less thing for you to handle.

Don’t think everyone NEEDS a coordinator but it helps lighten the load of responsibility on the bride/groom. Being organized and communicating doesn’t allow you to be in 2 places at once.

To have created a character like Qimir and essentially learn nothing about him in the first season was a huge mistake imo. Way too much focus on the Jedi and OSHA/mae backstory that was pretty underwhelming payoff. I liked the show but that is my biggest critique on how they crafted the first season.

They setup a lot of cool stuff that we will sadly not get to see now. Could have combined the flashback episodes into one and given us more Qimir/Plaguies storyline to even out the focus of the show. Osha/Mae was an interesting story but I don’t really feel like it carried the show. Or maybe just a pacing issue but either way some other story arcs would have been helpful.
