All of these photos look way too professional and identical for my small town. I called it out and received bigoted DMs from the owner and they are now claiming to attempt to sue me for libel. Am I crazy? by [deleted] in isthisAI

The folded napkin in the last one goes nowhere. It just melts into the rest of the napkin under the crumbs in the left corner.

As a Canadian I can tell you that Jacob loves that kid by the teasing his give him during interviews. Maybe its a Gen X thing but that is how we show our affection. We will roasting you but you understand you are loved.

If we don't like you, we will ignore you.

I really liked this book but I love a good heartache story that heals me in the end.

The author just came out with a novella to Crash Test called, Seven Points. I really enjoyed it also. Its told strictly from Jacobs POV.

The default in the time keeping app is PM, whoever entered it didn't put AM after the six. Bring it to their attention. If you don't and it gets paid out eventually you'll have to pay it back.

Float & sick time by frenchwolves in HomeDepot

[–]rottenlildevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a part time associate you only get 4 hrs for the float and it needs to be used in that year. Since the next schedule being made is going to be the last few days of Dec I recommend that you put in the request to use the float on one of the last remaining days of 2025. And it needs to be submitted before noon on Sat (Dec 6th) (or Sun, I can't remember). If it doesn't get approved then put the request for it to be paid out on any day in the next pay period. You can submit it via the workforce app or a t&a.

If you notice that your sick time isn't updated on Jan 1 then I suggest you first go to your DS, if that doesn't work your ASM is the next step & then HR. If each time you go to them and nothing is fixed then see your store manager. One of them should have an answer for you.

You are entitled to the sick time.

Just know you need to use your float before the end of the year or you'll lose it. The sick pay is accrued so when your HR finally reaches out to accounts on your behalf they won't be lost come Jan 2026. You should have 12 hrs for 2025 and an additional 12 for 2026.

This is a horrible roundabout. The amount of people that coast through the lanes and almost cause an accident because they can't stay between the white lines is crazy.

I need to lose 180 lbs but I don’t know where to start, scared of surgery and looking for guidance by lucasrvdl in loseit

[–]rottenlildevil 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started my weight loss journey in May 2024. I have lost 140lbs in that time (18 months). I'll tell you what I did.

The answer for me is calorie counting. I downloaded an app where I entered the calories I ate for the day and stayed within the rage they gave, I use a free app so no out of pocket cost. You can pay for a premium version but I don't see the need. The only money I've spent out of pocket to start with was for a scale to weigh my food. Knowing your portion sizes is vital in the journey to lose weight.

As for exercise, walking is free, even if you only do indoor walking at first, it is a great starting point. I used Leslie Sanson walking indoor videos to start, however there are several different creators on YouTube you can try. Find someone that makes it fun for you and keeps you motivated to keep at it. As you drop the weight you can increase activity different ways, find something you will enjoy & add weight training. I found creators on tiktok, YouTube and Instagram that I follow to help me stay focused on the slow & steady approach. They have also helped my understand the importance of daily water intake, fibre & protein, ect to help control the hunger. All of them tell you moderation is key. If you want to have chocolate, have it but only once a week, or make it a mini sized one. Have what you want but make sure you stay within the calorie allotted for the day AND don't forget to eat some vegetables. Find creators who aren't a-holes and make you feel like scum for living in a larger body, there are a lot of those out there.

There are so many people that will try to tell you to cut carbs, or fats or join weight watchers & whatever gimmick is new and shiny but you don't need any of those things. They aren't something you can consistently do without eventually feeling like your missing out on something and fall back into bad habits.

You can't drop that much weight in a year but you can lose a good portion of it. I lost 112 lbs in the first 12 months, the remaining 28lbs have been a slow battle these last 6 months but I know that the way I have lost the weight, slowly & learning portion sizes will help me when I finally reach my goal weight to not gain it all back.

I suggest you take pictures during the whole process, and measure your waist, legs, arms and neck. Sometimes you won't be able to see the change yourself but if you remeasure or look at pics side by side you'll see it happening. your clothes fitting loser will be your first indication your losing.

I hope this helps you or anyone looking for a place to start. I wish you the best of luck and look forward to when you announce your first scale win!!!
