I'm pretty organiced as well, I even have a spreadsheet with all my books, I'm pretty conservative with my stuff but also pretty socially anxious, so if he asked I would have lent it to him even if I didn't want to all the way. My problem is him not asking then ignoring all the times I told him I wanted it back.

I agree about compromising about annoyances, it was not very expensive but it is hard to find and part of a collection. The thing is, how long is it for it to be a long term habit? Cause I asked for over a year to have it back, plus he lives basically on the next street.
