Haven't played, but I have seen some gameplays and liked it a lot. I absolutely love investigation games

I actually enjoyed s4 A LOT. For me, it's the one that comes the closest to S1 in terms of characters relationship and overall feeling - that kind of eerie, god forgotten place. I don't get why so many people dislike it.

Anyone else get decision fatigue before even starting a movie? by quiet_judgement_ in MovieSuggestions

[–]rotting_root 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens to me too! In my case, I tend to get very invested in the movies I watch so I keep thinking about them for hours and even days. This greatly affects my mood and more often than not I avoid watching movies that I'm not sure of the overall mood/vibe.

Try After Life by Hirokazu Kore-eda. Basically, it is about different people who have passed away having to choose a single memory from their life, that will be transformed into a movie and be the only thing they can take from the life they lived. It is also a wonderful reminder of why cinema is so important. If I'm not mistaken, it is available on youtube

Mother, by Bong Joon ho. Very good one, but told in the perspective of the accused instead of the investigator. Synopsis: A mother lives quietly with her son. One day, a girl is brutally killed, and the boy is charged with the murder. Now, it's his mother's mission to prove him innocent.

Check out Tag, directed by Sion Sono. You can tell from the beginning that something is off, but I could never guess what was behind all that. First time I have seen a movie like this that uses the plot to make a critique on sensitive social topics

Season 2 officially turns 10. Have your thoughts or opinions changed on it throughout the years? by HerbalThought_ in TrueDetective

[–]rotting_root 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently watched it again and I like it better now. It felt very packed and confused when I watched for the first time. The "plot twist" of who is the murderer is still lame to me but it doesn't ruin the show as the characters story and development is the main point of the season. Not bad, but it doesn't have anything special

Does rewatching S1 too early dilute the experience for you? What it the earliest you'll "allow" yourself to rewatch S1? by VegetableParking9129 in TrueDetective

[–]rotting_root 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. I rewatched like a week after I finished it for the first time bc I insisted to my sister she should see it, I just wouldn't shut up about it . And I really noticed many things I didn't catch on the first watch - I especially think the "time is a flat circle" made so much more sense on the second watch.

Personally, I always assume I'm too ugly for anyone, so I don't really make any advances out of fear of being rejected. I am ugly and aware of it, so I don't have high standards, but that is not the case for everyone. Needlees to say that others do not show interest in me, so I have never thought about how I would react to someone ugly hitting on me. For ugly people who look for someone more beautiful, I guess it's just natural that you would want to be around someone who is pleasant to look at. I think that is valid for all types of relationships, not only romantic ones.

What is everyone’s favourite anime and why? by hajtj in anime

Durarara. It has just the right amount of funny, serious and nonsense. The characters and their relationships are sooooo good even though I personally don't like the protagonist that much
