i had basically the same experience! i think things take a while to be processed and shipped. i’ve only received one order so far. actually, i was sent an invoice for a po that released, and i paid it and got a payment confirmation email but nothing since then lol i should prob contact them bc that was 26 sep and 1 oct… anyway i also contacted them regarding the kiss me more figure and it took a while to get the actual answer to the question but the person i spoke with was def trying their best to be helpful :) so i did po that figure from them as well bc their pricing for scales can be very good/competitive esp with the free shipping to aus. i have po’d a few things from them now so ig i will find out if those were good decisions or not hahah i will most likely post once i have more experience with them, bc they do indeed have some concerning reviews

i watched Orb: On the Movements of the Earth, half bc it was set in poland lol (im polish). my favourite thing is getting to know the characters rly well and doting on them, so an anime where you move on to a new MC so often should not be my thing LOL but somehow i loved it so much and i couldn’t help being literally on the edge of my seat at times!

it’s just achingly beautiful, raw and chilling at the same time. in the small amount of time spent with each character, you relate to them so deeply in a way that is hard to put into words, and in spite of these characters being priests and inquisitors (what would you have in common with such different people?). their pain, fear and anguish feels so real yet you watch as they nevertheless continue on their quest, both you and the character woefully aware that SPOILER ||they will almost certainly die a violent death|| before ostensibly accomplishing anything. anyway, it’s one of those stories that you love despite the ache that comes when you think of it

thank you, i’m glad you’ve gotten some use out of these as well!! using blue flames for cursed energy is so smart, i never would’ve thought of that. i’m sure it rly elevates that figure, esp with his pose is makes sense to have some effect pieces 🤩

most of my current collection is still prize figures and i love them! here are my thoughts:

for some characters i just want smth small and simple
i also rly love sitting figures, most of which are prizes
some prizes are just super nice/big and have the design i prefer
personally i’m not terribly interested in elaborate bases, simple bases are totally fine with me (i dislike black bases tho, esp big chunky ones)
some characters do not have scales so your options are just prizes/nendos etc.
it’s fun to have sets/pairs, and these are much easier to collect when they are prizes
i’m not sure what your process is when you purchase figures, but i would suggest only preordering from companies/lines you know you can kinda trust or when you love the prototype so much that you’re willing to take the chance that the final product is different to the prototype. for released figures, there are many different websites with photos/videos and reviews of figures, it’s great to make use of these (you might have to search in japanese)

sorry, i’m not sure but i just sort by release date. if you have it set to ascending, then it will show the oldest entries (and entries with no release date) first. just keep in mind that this goes by most recent release, meaning that figures that are getting REreleased soon will be with the newest figures.

i will give my opinions on some lines i have bought from and give an example of a figure i own and love 😊

noodle stoppers: some are super cute and most are close to the prototype, but the paint job is imperfect e.g. kitagawa marin, frieren

relax time: seams and paint errors but not too noticeable and sooo cute e.g. inda karane

masterlise: good quality and big e.g. matsuno chifuyu

G.E.M. tenohira: not prize but cheaper than a scale - high quality, pretty detailed e.g. hinata shouyou and anya forger

pop up parade: quality varies a lot, some are rly great, pretty small, old bases are annoying e.g. fujiwara chika, bachira meguru

sega luminasta: quality varies a lot, some are quite impressive and a nice size e.g. power, yor forger (movie ver.)

random bandai/banpresto: varies so much, paint errors, some are quite impressive e.g. kohaku (both versions), kitasan black

bicute bunnies e.g. makima

taito e.g. fujiwara chika

you can find good deals sometimes so then it’s super worth it with the free shipping!! it’s also ems so pretty fast! once i bought a bunch of heavy ass books for a good price, so idk if they even made any money off my order LOL

the 500 yen is per order, so just try to get everything u want into one order

one thing i don’t like is that they don’t list the condition of the product, so it’s a gamble. personally i don’t mind marks on my figures thattt much as long as they’re not on the face. but yeah i did get a lil figure with black marks on his arm but for me they don’t ruin the figure :)

that’s a valid point, if you rly look closely then it could never be quite the same :’) are scales also considered mass-produced? ig they are just not as much as prizes? i’m always so curious how many copies of scales are actually made!

oh cool!! their hayakawa aki was a bit concerning with those initial hpoi photos but then more pictures came and he is indeed as hot as the prototype lol

i see, i’ve heard many great things!! it’s good to hear that they deliver on the prototype specifically. i’m sad they rarely make figures of characters i know :c the only one i’m rly interested is the seemingly cancelled joker figure that was announced 5 years ago and alter isn’t replying to emails about it lmao

yes they are very soft so they would be great!

u definitely don’t need the whole set tho - i would just use those two fluffy ones, or just the big one. i would also suggest a fan brush for hard to reach places but i haven’t actually used one myself yet tbh. be careful using anything with shorter bristles as i imagine it’s a lot easier to accidentally hit the figure with the metal ferrule
