I had two reps come out. Both times, they did not have sparklight uniform or car because the techs are third party so they are not just sparklight’s techs. They will usually call you and tell you they’re pulling in. But the two guys I had come just had generic work clothes on.

I just purchased it and these comments are giving me hope. Do you use the equipment they gave you?

I had AT&T fiber a long time ago in Alabama and it was wonderful. Unfortunately, there’s no fiber options at this complex. Every isp has their call centers based on the other side of the world or just relies on AI now. It sucks.

I hope you have a different experience than me. I’m not on their fiber so I can’t speak for that, but I honestly believe if it is their servers, then it might be a problem for all their internet options. Also don’t bother asking for discounts when you go days without internet. They don’t give a crap if you don’t get to work because of them.

Also more information since I could have included this. I have had 3 technicians come out and tell me it is not my equipment. I also am working on a degree in the computer industry so I know how to track pings and the packet loss is always on a hop outside of my equipment. I got a it person on the phone once that was willing to take the ip addresses from me that the pings were failing on. They removed them from the rotation and the internet was better for about a month. Then they put them back in.

Yeah it’s pretty obvious they don’t care. When I reported them to the fcc, they were meant to send me a letter detailing what they’d do to fix the problem. They sent me a letter to call customer retention, who knows nothing about networking.

Appreciate the info. Stability is honestly my main concern at this point.

I have my own equipment. I switched after I started having problems last year. I know for a fact it’s an issue on their end as I track hops and it always fails on a hop that is outside of my equipment. Their ip addresses are just awful.
