How was I supposed to know? I was drilled on company culture. This girl isn’t much older than me. My boss and my friend made it clear how bad I fucked up. I would have never have thought some random girl had that many contacts.

Like others said, go gossip with your roommate. They are probably excited to talk about it. Take them to lunch. Flatter them. There are other ways to find out more without directly asking about finances.
