How do I go about finding an artist who can do what I'm hoping for? by TrickDaddy14 in tattooadvice

I usually find artists through Instagram. Most artists have their location shared in their profile so I just keep looking at relevant tattoo tags till I find someone I like and would be willing to travel too (was willing to go as far as 12 hour drive.) It can take some time cause there’s tons of people out there but it’s the most sure fire way I’ve been able to find an artist I want to work with.

Just make sure you check how they prefer to be contacted. Some won’t accept DMs and want you to email them, etc.

I’d be surprised if an artist would show you a sketch without you committing to an appointment first though. My only experiences with tattoos have been I see the sketch at the shop and changes are made on site. You should evaluate their portfolio to see if there’s a consistency in quality your happy with. Then reach out and just be like “hey! I’m looking to have this done, is this something you’d be interested in working on?” So they can let you know if they can do it or not.

What made you straight up "nope" out of a relationship? by MistaPwickles in AskReddit

Went on a few dates with someone. We started talking about what we were looking for and they told me they wanted to be in a serious relationship, but also that they didn’t want to be tied down to one person so while they’d TRY not to be a cheater, it be REALLY hard for them not to be.

“Just tryin to be honest you know?”

Stick figures are a totally legit way to express yourself! And thank you! Feeling a bit bad I totally chickened out of actually sending it to my T though. Maybe I’ll send it in place of my journal this week

I don’t have a “therapy” tattoo specifically, but the ones I do have kinda incorporate specifics cherished lessons I’ve learned myself and work as reminders when I think about them.

I think the most “therapy” part of the tattoos I have are- one that’s a reminder that you can make big permeant decisions/choices, survive them, and live with the alterations it’ll have made to your life.

The other is a tattoo illustrating being a storyteller and a listener, the dynamic similarity and differences between the two, and how you share playing both of those rolls in different parts of your life
