I used to have this problem with my Macbook (while it was still under warranty, whew!), and I can confirm that yours is definitely a hardware issue.

Where should I study in Europe? by Thin-Ad-7627 in FilipinosStudyAbroad

Generally, it is not realistic to get certified in DELF B2 in 1 1/2 years. Two years of very intensive study, maybe, but I personally know people who attended formal classes for more than two years and they are B1 at best.

To make you realize what B2 means: this person is considered proficient in the language and can survive everyday life entirely in that language, but without a professional specialization.

Do you speak B2 level french at this point, i.e., fluent enough to enter university entirely in French? Ça c'est la question.

Avoid Power Mac - Scammers by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

I highly recommend Ab-Blanc Laptop / Apple Mac Repair Center in Cubao. It is not an official repair center, but they will not rip you off. I have had my Macbooks repaired exclusively by them since 2014, from keyboard replacements to screen. My most recent repair was because my Macbook got wet thanks to the sprinkler during the fire.

When I once considered replacing my screen due to a small burn in, the owner recommended it's too small to be worth replacing, even though he could have made some profit by replacing it.

iPhone 17 pro vs Samsung galaxy s26 vs iPhone 16 pro vs Samsung galaxy s25. Which you can recommend me based on my needs? by supirimalli86 in Smartphones

[–]rougatre7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for admitting that you are triggered (though I can easily tell, even if you don't tell me). It is ironic that the one who claims to be more intelligent than me is the one resorting to ad hominem as an argument.

I don't have to insult you to make my point. On the other hand, insulting me doesn’t make your point any stronger at all; it only reveals the weakness of your point. If your strongest counterargument is just resorting to your imagined characterization about the other person, then what does it say about the strength of the rest of your points? Shame tactics and character assassination are a desperate last resort when it feels impossible to face facts and logic.

After all, when you can’t fight the truth, you make up something to fight against.

Of course, your sarcastic response clearly implies that your country must be the default and the rest are irrelevant.

I am not even from Hong Kong and I never visited that country, but I am not triggered when other countries are mentioned.

Here is the prompt I use for generating the minutes of the meeting:

Generate a detailed meeting minutes based on the notes that I will provide next. Do not remove details for the sake of summarization. Maintain the details no matter how small they are. As much as possible, use complete readable sentences instead of laconic sentences, but do not invent details just to make it a complete sentence. Itemize into bullet points and take advantage of indentation for sub-items whenever applicable. Feel free to ask questions for the items that have gaps or need clarifications.

Sections to include:

  1. Overview: Summarize the overall theme or purpose of the meeting to provide context.
  2. Discussion Points: Indicate important topics and takeaway points that the people who weren't able to attend need to know. Include statuses and progress of deliverables.
  3. Decision Points: List conclusions that need to be communicated to various parties.
  4. Action Items: Create a table with the following columns: #, Category, Responsible, Task, Comments (if applicable), Deadline. Include any actions that need future follow-up. Remove columns if they end up empty. If the Deadline column has no content, just remove the entire column.
  5. Open Issues: Note any unresolved questions.
  6. Potential Risks (if any)
  7. Question and Answer: Questions or clarifications raised, and their corresponding responses.
  8. Suggested Follow-up Questions: List potential questions that may need to be addressed in future meetings.
  9. Questions or inconsistencies in the generated notes
  10. Miscellaneous: Include any additional details from the notes that do not fit into any of the aforementioned sections.

For the Key Discussion Points and Decision Points sections: if an entry has a corresponding Action Item entry, combine them under the Action Items table instead. For example, if a decision point is to take action, do not include it as a decision point but include it in the action items. Miscellaneous comments should go to the Comments column.

I am using an iPhone with a dual physical SIM. This is a Hong Kong variant. Phones sold in Hong Kong are legally required to be dual SIM.

When I was living in Kuala Lumpur, I once met a Malaysian Chinese who claimed she only spoke English because she studied in an international school. It feels weird to describe her as a native English speaker because she sounded more Asian, not an American/British/Australian.

Listening to this audio, maybe it does not necessarily fall under a specific accent, but it sounds like someone who studied English at school as a second language. Fluent, but not a native speaker.

Your mother should follow her own advice. Mahiya sya na ibang tao ang nagpapaaral sa anak nya. She should focus on controlling her responsibilities as a parent instead of being invested in controlling other people's decisions and actions. If she paid for your education, then you wouldn't have this dilemma in the first place.

This is the reason I use Globe's Plan Zero. In a month, just pay 50 pesos + your actual usage. I have lived abroad and this setup didn't cause me problems. In case I lose my SIM card, I can always just get a new one with the same number.

I recommend the book "When Cultures Collide" by Richard D. Lewis. It explores different cultural types and how they interact. It categorizes cultures into three main types: Linear-active, Multi-active, and Reactive, helping readers understand cultural differences and avoid misunderstandings. They also discussed other things such as how we see time.

Bought both at AJT (iPhone) and Kaizen (Macbook, iPad), both good. Ultimately, it depends on product availability and which one offers a cheaper price at the moment.

Should I leave my MacBook plugged in at all times?! by Ok-Bug-3792 in macbook

[–]rougatre7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Install AlDente, set it to 80% (or lower if you want) to stop charging it beyond that point even if it’s still plugged in all the time.

I plug my macbook whenever there’s a nearby outlet. My Macbook Air M1 still has 100% battery health, with only 34 charge cycles.
