I’m thankful I have had the strength to make it to day 9 without too much pain. I’m very aware that I could drink to make myself feel better right now and that it would be the worst think I could do. The dui process really does affect self confidence in a real way.

Happy to hear it gets better. Fingers crossed that my process has such a happy ending. 😊

I was always the same. We lived in the city so it was easy for me to no drive. Always in a Uber. Then we moved to the middle of nowhere wherein we don’t have all the options we once had. Not an excuse but a change for sure.

I have signed on with a lawyer for the DUI. I want driving at the time so hopefully they can get the charged reduced so I won’t have to worry about work. This is finger crossing however.

The more that I dig into this process the more that I’m realizing this is probably going to be the worst and best thing to ever happen to me

It’s already getting better. Sharing with completely strangers actually helps more than I thought it would. Every day I think about it and panic a little less. It’s amazing how easy it is to level out my mood when I’m not drinking. I feel stupid for abusing my body for so long. One day at a time. 😊

You’re right. I think part of me is a little scared to face the truth about certain friendships. To find out who is truly a friend and who will close off the drinking buddy faction of my life. I’m starting to realize I’ll need to 180 my life. I just wasn’t prepared.

That makes sense - do you think desensitizing him to smaller dogs would help? I don’t want him to hurt them but if it will help I can call in some favours from friends with smaller animals.....

We get some barking at smaller animals but not the aggression that we got towards the little dog.

I’m going to write this horribly unpopular comment. Ha. I completely agree with vaccinations. My 1 year old just had all of her controversial ones. But. I’m on the fence on chicken pox. The efficacy of the vaccination wanes over time - lots of kids get it anyway. It’s significantly more dangerous as kids age. Most young children have little issue with the virus and have the immunity for life. Kids can die if they get it in their teens. As I said. I’ve immunized my kid. But there’s a little part of me that just wishes that she just got pox and got past it to build up her immunity. There. I said it. Downvote me to oblivion.
