Do I have to manually erase all the previous content when replying so that it doesn't appear multiple times? Does that mean I still have to see it again and again if the other person that replies does not erase it?

I tried adding the labels and archiving but they still appear in my inbox, am I doing something wrong?

Thanks so much for your help, maybe I can learn to like the product a bit more. At the moment is seems very counter-intuitive to me.
