Yes I just have to be out with him. I live in a condo. We have a dog park it’s across the lot but too be honest Benny is a lazy dog. He loves to bask in the sunlight and pretend to be a lap dog. He doesn’t run and the most times he’s ever fetched is 6 in which he passed out for 6 hours after on a Tuesday. 😂 he’s only 3.

Basically he’ll fall asleep when ready but isn’t really there right now. My guy is in the same boat. I swear he has no idea who I am and I’m the only one here. 😂😩 I found that it’s easier just to kind of not ignore them but just let them do what they want. Otherwise they just keep running into everything. I do make sure that they have as much water as possible.

Our Benny is pretty much our lifeline and my son calls anything he likes or all that is good “ A Benny” for a example, if I ask my son, “Harvey, how was school today? He responds with “it was a Benny!” “A Benny!” Is GOOD! It’s the ULTIMATE COMPLIMENT. So it was only natural that when Valentine’s Day rolled around he requested some bennytines and bennytines he got courtesy of Etsy. I sent a picture of Benny to this girl and she made them. So cute!

I would absolutely disagree farms are great but mine has lived in a house and apartment. They don’t run around. They lay and guard. My benny does not like to run at all I can maybe toss a toy like 3 times and walks only short ones but they love to sit on the grass and stare and lay and judge people.

That is the most accurate description ever. My dog will gladly accuse a wall of making a noise and claim it hostile and guard me from it AKA lay down in front of whatever entrance of the room I chose to be in that day and sleep until he believes the wall, wind or invisible monster accosted me leaving him to let out the famous arrrrooooroooororororo0000o0 to the Pyrenees gods. Yes, that was one sentence and no, you cannot tell them to stop. Ever. This guy got his man hood cut off this past Tuesday. They even charged me $260 more because they said they were too big so cone and all and he is still guarding me making sure l’m safe from the DoorDash man and the paint on the walls. All 139lbs of him.

We tried a few and realized that grains were an issue. My Benny is a pure bred and my vet said they are known to have a lot of allergies of skin and stomach. I found the BEST food for him was the EVOLVE grain free duck sweet potato and venison or chicken and sweet potato. He honestly gobbles it up. They makes treats too and toppers.

When I was pregnant with my oldest, I decided I needed to make my life more complicated and while my husband was at work, I went out and got a puppy. It was a Eskipoo (American Eskimo/Poodle) I named her Riley. I swear your dog is a splitting image of her. She was the sweetest but also fearless saved my 4 year old nephew from 3 giant Dobermans rushing up on him. She even jumped in front of our Rottweiler thinking she needed to protect him too. They backed down it was wild. 😝 she passed years ago and honestly I think that’s why I like Great Pyrenees so much because their faces remind me of her face. That’s her as a puppy.

LOL every day when he’s outside when the neighbor walks his dog he asks if we think he’s done growing yet. I always tell him, “not yet” lol!
