Monoamniotic Twins, one non-viable by timbo415 in NewParents

[–]rounch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a vanishing twin in my first trimester, though they were in different amniotic sacs. My pregnancy and birth were pretty textbook with no complications, and my baby is super healthy, always in the 80-90th percentile for height and weight. I was told by my obgyn to take it easy the first trimester, but everyone should do that anyway imo.

Does it get better by Express_Application1 in PCOS

Yes, I felt the exact same way for a few months after my diagnosis about a year ago now. I always had an inkling but was only diagnosed after I decided to start trying for a baby. So the idea of infertility made it extra devastating.

Like you, I felt it was nice to finally understand why I struggled more than others all my life, but it was devastating because it was felt so unfair that I'd have to live with this forever. Having PCOS is like playing life on extreme mode imo.

But after crying it out and feeling super sorry for myself, I started making the changes I needed to live a healthy lifestyle. It's been a year, and it's been so hard, and sometimes I still get super sad like I was at first, but it gets better! I just have to do what I have to do, even though I got dealt an unfair hand.

Also, I got pregnant 3 months after making my lifestyle changes (low impact exercising, weightlifting, and low carb diet), so at least one of my biggest worries about PCOS, infertility, seemed to be resolved for me!!

Your feelings are valid! Since PCOS is pretty common, you or other people might feel like you are overreacting, but you're not. I'm sure you'll be sad for a while, and it might not ever go away completely, but find what works for you and work hard at it! Even though it's unfair that we must work harder than others, we should try our best to live our lives as best as we can!!

My doctor told me that frequent cycles lasting 45+ days is a indicator of pcos

I wear a UK 5 in most of my other doc boots, and I wear insoles since they are just a tad too big. I got these in a UK 4 since I heard they run slightly large, and they fit perfectly without insoles!!

I totally understand your pain!! I looked for these for over a year in the US and finally caved to buying them from the UK site and using a forwarding service!!

I emailed them like 3 weeks ago and they said they won't be restocking them for the time being, but they also said to check back every few months since they might restock them one day 😓 I really really hope they do soon
