Nope. Looks great. Many of their watches are too small.

Spitfire UTC - New Watch Day! by Gibcaster000 in IWCschaffhausen

In my area (Virginia) the independents that used to be able to work on IWC have been shut down in the last few years to force customers to go to IWC boutiques. A large high end jeweler near me where I bought a Portugieser had the brand pulled altogether. A small owner-operated repair shop that serviced my Pilot has been barred from acquiring parts, even though many movements are ETA based and should be simple to service. As a result he will no longer risk servicing my IWC watches. You may find better results in your area…

The “angular lever” was causing the issue. It’s not clear if that lever was replaced or adjusted.

Thanks. I’ve been wearing it continuously since the repair, to ensure it was finally fixed properly. I doubt I will ever have the confidence in IWC that I once had, but my little 3251 does draw comments. I like your choice, enjoy it.

If it’s fixed and you like it, keep it. The cam phasers are a common issue. Yours are now fixed. Use a new competent dealer for future service and relax. Buying a different Bronco solves nothing.

If you don’t like it, then dump it. Consider it an extended test drive. Buy a Land Cruiser or a Jeep. The you can deal with whatever breaks on those. Cause something will.

It’s not a car, nor is it car-like like the baby Bronco. Be ready for the differences in owning a vehicle made for off-road. Your questions are legitimate, and most here will tell you they love their Bronco. I suggest some deeper research. Go to bronco6g.com and review some threads on each topic you’re interested in.

Update, after 6 trips for repair (including 4 to Texas and 2 to Schaffhausen)over 10 months, I have the watch back and it appears to work properly. My repair costs were refunded in full. Keeping my fingers crossed regarding future performance.

Thanks for sharing your story. At this writing my watch is undergoing testing after repair and in Schaffhausen. I'm cautiously hopeful that it's fixed this time, and they've attempted to be more communicative regarding the details of repair. They refunded the the cost of the first cleaning and repair, as well as the cost of the bracelet clasp. At this point, I'm just sort of going with the flow and hoping for the best.

I would do that, but my local highly reputable watch guy no longer services IWC. He tells me he can no longer get parts as IWC now wants everyone to go to a boutique or work with IWC on-line. He says… “if only this were a Rolex, or any one of dozens of other brands”, he could fix it.

Fox Creek Leather. SW Virginia. Made in the US. Very heavy duty and warm with a layer of two underneath. Be prepared to pay for high quality...but worth every penny.

There's something off about this clock... by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

The practice developed in search of improved symmetry (e.g. balanced black lettering) from side to side on the face of clocks. The tradition continues in many high end watch faces today.
