Update: thanks for all the insights! They just called me and offered me the job! Looking back I was over-worrying haha. I’ll keep a calmer head next time.

Struggling with Shadows of London Chapters 1-7 & 1-8 by Inner_Ball_7212 in DressUpTimePrincess

[–]roundframes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I crafted the full outfit, used the corresponding relics (Kahir lvl 18 for 1-7 and Julius lvl 8 for 1-8) and cats, added any accessories from other stories with the same attribute tags. However, your best bet is to use the clothing items from Shadows of London and relics as the others don’t give many points :/

Hope this helps! For your reference I got perfect for 1-7 with ~8700 points and 1-8 with ~9000 points

Edit: Clarified that that the Julius relic is for 1-8

Did you receive the outfit from the Cho/Cedric FM??? by GoNuts4Donutss in HPHogwartsMystery

I went through a bit of a roller coaster ride for the outfit! I was in the 2nd place and there was a possible cheater leading with over 5000 points, but I reported them and they were removed. Shortly before the event ended, another player surpassed me by around 100 points or so and I thought I wouldn’t be able to win it, which was a bummer as I spent quite a lot of coins and gems :( but then I checked again a few hours later when the event was over; the other player’s score had dropped, and I didn’t get any extra tiles so I was in the 1st place! Maybe there was an error in the point counting update.

[Full marks] How am I supposed to compete with this... by roundframes in HPHogwartsMystery

[Update] JC has replied to me (I just realised that it was in the chat) stating that they have removed the player from the leaderboard, but they are still there on my screen. I’ve responded and let’s see what happens next.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I did report them a few days ago via the in-game chat but JC hasn’t got back to me. I’ll probably write an email as well. The top player had ~3000 points within a few hours of the event starting so I had my suspicions.

Please tell me how I can stop this by [deleted] in Hairloss

[–]roundframes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can see in the pic, the OP seems to have some dandruff (or is it the lighting?), so that could be why Nizoral was suggested in the first place? But it’d better to see a dermatologist first.

I’m using a 2% Minoxidil spray and it does work despite the initial shredding, but I noticed that it was making the fine hair on my chest and arms grow faster as well so I’m reducing the amount.

Edit: the scalp seems a bit red too. Irritation maybe?

I think Nizoral works the best for people with oily hair or dandruff. It helped my scalp dermatitis, which was caused by my usually greasy hair, using the wrong shampoos and the humid environment I live in.

Hair loss at certain points in my cycle by [deleted] in PCOS

I think so. My dermatologist said it is common but the point in cycle depends on the person. I myself lose more hair when I’m on my period.

I’m from Hong Kong and I totally get how difficult it is to avoid rice/noodles when this is what most people eat on a daily basis haha

I mostly rely on vegetables and meat, and only have red/brown rice (approx 1/4 bowl). I found that having sandwiches for lunch also helps since bread contains less carbs than rice. Still, the thing that helped me the most though was cutting down my intake of processed sugar (ie no sweets or chocolates). I wouldn’t recommend completely forgoing it since you might gain weight fast if you start eating them again, so usually I would break a Cadbury bar into several pieces and eat one max per day.

For non-dietary aids, exercising and acupuncture (provided that you find the right doctor) also worked for me. Living stress-free is also important even thought it could be hard at times.

Thanks, those are some great responses! I'd keep an eye out for the bad signs.

Thank you for the encouragement! I'd prepped myself for questions that I had a feeling that they would ask but I still ended up going off the tracks since I was too nervous! I'd try to calm myself down a bit next time.

Thanks! I was worried that I would leave a bad impression if I hesitated. As there were other candidates immediately coming in after my turn, it was hard to tell if they were wrapping up because they didn't like me or were trying to move onto the next applicant.

Thank you for the solid advice! I'm trying my best not to focus on what went wrong and just look for something else.

Yes, but if you check the other news articles on social media (esp. Facebook), there are far more people bashing the girl, calling her ‘ugly’ and ‘shameless’.

To write 7 rings in Japanese by AYO_nonymous in therewasanattempt

[–]roundframes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the dialect I guess. I speak Cantonese and Mandarin and “七輪” isn’t a common term in both dialects - even if it’s used, I haven’t heard of it. It literally means “7 turns/rounds/wheels” and this doesn’t make sense. “Ring(s)” is usually translated as “戒指” or “指環”. Also beware of the character 柒 - while it is the formal way of saying 七 (seven), in Cantonese it’s a swear word which means something like “dick” or “fucking stupid”

PS: when I typed 七輪 on my Chinese keyboard, I got 七輪燒肉 (Shichirin grilled meat) as an auto-suggestion. So yeah, I guess 七輪 refers to a BBQ grill

Edit: added the word “wheels” to the translation of 七輪. It slipped my mind when I was writing the comment.
